Triumph were a Canadian hard rock band formed in 1975 that was popular in the late 1970s and the 1980s, building on its reputation and success as a live band. Between its 16 albums and DVDs, the band has received 18 gold and nine platinum awards in Canada and the United States. They were nominated for multiple Juno Awards, including the 'Group of the Year Award' in 1979, 1985, 1986, and 1987. They were inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame in 2007, into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2008, and into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2019.
Peter Gabriel is the second studio album by English singer-songwriter Peter Gabriel, released on 2 June 1978 by Charisma Records. Gabriel started recording the album in November 1977, the same month that he had completed touring in support of his debut solo release. He employed former King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp, who was part of Gabriel's early touring band, to produce the album and incorporated his use of Frippertronics effects on the co-written "Exposure".

Nektar is an English progressive rock band formed in Hamburg, West Germany in 1969, by guitarist and lead vocalist Roye Albrighton, keyboardist Allan "Taff" Freeman, bassist Derek "Mo" Moore, and drummer Ron Howden.
Poi Dog Pondering is an American musical group which is noted for its cross-pollination of diverse musical genres, including various forms of acoustic and electronic music. Frank Orrall founded the band in Hawaii in 1984, initially as a solo project. In 1985 Orrall formed the first line-up of PDP to perform its first concert at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. The band embarked on a yearlong street performance busking tour across North America. They eventually settled down in Austin, Texas in 1987, where they recorded their first three albums. In 1992, the band relocated to Chicago and they began to incorporate orchestral arrangements and elements of electronic, house music, and soul music into their acoustic rock style. The membership of Poi Dog Pondering has evolved from album to album, with Frank Orrall being a constant player since the inception of the band.

Michael "Jakko" Jakszyk is an English musician, record producer, and actor. He has released several solo albums as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as lead singer and second guitarist of King Crimson from 2013 to present succeeding Adrian Belew in the role. His work has been variously credited to "Jakko", "Jakko Jakszyk", and "Jakko M. Jakszyk".

It compiles 7 of 9 tracks from the first album, and 8 of 11 from the second. AllMusic, noting that the compilation ill-served both committed and casual Gabriel fans, labelled this album "good but useless".

Recycled is the sixth album from English progressive rock band Nektar. It is a concept album addressing the band members' concerns about the environment. There are only two songs on the album, one for each side, titled simply "Part One" and "Part Two". "Part One" tells the tale of a nightmarish future in which only "recycled energy" remains, while "Part Two" revolves around more present-day concerns about tourism despoiling untouched wilderness.

XYZ is the first solo album by Andy Summers. Released in 1987, it is to date his only album to feature him on lead vocals, though he performs a wordless vocal on his 1991 album World Gone Strange.

The Other Side is the fourteenth album by progressive rock band Nektar, released in 2020. It was the first studio album since 1977's Magic Is a Child to feature original bassist Derek "Mo" Moore. It also features the return of Mick Brockett on special effects, Randy Dembo on rhythm guitar, and Ryche Chlanda on lead guitar. Dembo had previously appeared on Evolution and Chlanda had briefly played with the band in 1978. It is also the last studio album by longtime drummer Ron Howden who died on September 29, 2023.
