Mahakavi is an Indian television documentary series, hosted by poet Kumar Vishwas on Hindi news channel ABP News. It premiered on Nov 5, 2016. [1] Prior to the begin of the series, a curtain raiser of the series was aired on Oct 28, 2016. [2] It aims to bring to the audience life-story, poems and never-seen-before facts about legendary Indian poets. [3] The weekly programme chronicles the life sketch of ten Hindi poets of twentieth century.

Contents

The TV series is hosted by the renowned poet Kumar Vishwas. The series is directed by Puneet Sharma and scripted by Prabudha Saurabh. The poems of the legendary poets have been treated with the music. While the composition of music has been done by Dr. Kumar Vishwas himself, the music has been arranged by his team Band Poetica. [4] It is a unique attempt to present the lives of legendary poets with reconstruction and music. Mahakavi is aired every Saturday 10 pm and Sunday at 10 am and 10 pm. [5]

The series would include 10 legendary poets, Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Dushyant Kumar, Suryakant Tripathi Nirala, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Mahadevi Verma, Baba Nagarjun, Jaishankar Prasad, Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, Maithili Sharan Gupt and Sachchidananda Vatsyayan Agyey.

The episode featuring the story of Ramdhari Singh Dinkar was aired on Nov 5, 2016. [6] The second episode featured the story of poet Dushyant Kumar on Nov 12, 2016. [7] The third episode was aired on Nov 19, 2016 and carried the story of poet Suryakant Tripathi Nirala [8]

The Kapil Sharma Show, also known as TKSS, is an Indian Hindi-language stand-up comedy and talk show broadcast by Sony Entertainment Television. Hosted by Kapil Sharma, the first season of the show had its premiere on 23 April 2016. The series revolved around Sharma and his neighbours in the Shantivan Non Co-operative Housing Society. The filming of the show took place at Film City situated in Goregaon East, Mumbai. The first season of the show was produced by Sharma's banner K9 Productions in association with Frames Productions while the second and third season is being jointly produced by Salman Khan Television and Banijay Asia with K9 Productions and TEAM as the creative producers. The show's fourth season is all set to be launched in September 2022 in which Archana Puran Singh will reprise her role as the guest judge.
