Mahindra World City, Jaipur is a multi-product Special Economic Zone based on the concept of an "Integrated Business City". It comprises SEZs, Industrial Parks, Retail and Social Infrastructure. [1]

History

In 2007, Mahindra World City, Jaipur was inaugurated by present Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje. It is a joint undertaking by Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd (a Mahindra Group Company) and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd (RIICO), an agency of the Government of Rajasthan. It has been identified as one of the 16 projects globally by the Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI), [2] a foundation upheld by Former US President Bill Clinton with a focus on sustainable development. 2017

Location

Mahindra World City is built near NH8 (Jaipur–Ajmer highway), and spread over an area of 3000 acres. [3] Mahindra World City is located near Jaipur City, 18 km from the airport and 21 km from the railway station. Apart from Jaipur, Mahindra World City is presently operational at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The basic idea behind the development of Mahindra World City, Jaipur is to bring forth overall industrial development across different segments of the industry. Recently the Isys softech is being inaugurated by Home Minister of Rajasthan Gulab Chand Kataria.

Social Infrastructure

The social infrastructure in Mahindra World City is comprehensive in terms of residential, learning, health institutes, and recreational zones. It also includes retail and hospitality centers as integral parts of the development. [6]

Architecture

The layout of Mahindra World City, Jaipur has been conceptualized and planned by Jurong Consultants of Singapore. [7] These consultants have been known for using efficient methods and approaches, developing Mahindra World City as a destination conducive for international and domestic corporates.

Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur

The Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN) is an airport project for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur. It is the biggest economical development project currently underway in India in terms of investments. The project aims to exploit the central location of Nagpur and convert the present airport into a major cargo hub with integrated road and rail connectivity.

The Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project (DMIC) is a planned industrial development project between India's capital, Delhi and its financial hub, Mumbai. The DMIC project was launched in pursuance of an MOU signed between the Government of India and the Government of Japan in December 2006. It is one of the world's largest infrastructure projects with an estimated investment of US$90 billion and is planned as a high-tech industrial zone spread across six states, as well as Delhi, the national capital and itself a Union Territory. The investments will be spread across the 1,500 km long Western Dedicated Freight Corridor which will serve as the industrial corridor's transportation backbone.

Information technology in India

Information Technology in India is an industry consisting of two major components: IT services and business process outsourcing (BPO). The SEZ Corridor is an emerging corridor implementing a number of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) along the Grand Southern Trunk Road in Chennai. Started with the establishment of the Madras Export Processing Zone in 1984, the SEZ corridor currently has 5 operational SEZs and over 10 approved projects in development. The GST Road is widely made use of for SEZ projects due to its connectivity with various means of transport by road, rail and air. Cyberpark

Cyberpark Kozhikode is a Government of Kerala organization planned in the lines of Technopark at Thiruvananthapuram and Infopark in Kochi to build, operate and manage IT parks for the promotion and development of investment in IT and ITES industries in the Malabar region of Kerala. It was registered under the Societies Act 1860 on 28 January 2009. Cyberpark is set up by Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited (KSITIL) and is headed by a Chief Executive Officer. In addition to this, it has a General Body and a Board of Governors, both of which include top officials of the government.

Economy of Hyderabad
