Bay Chamber Concerts is a non-profit organization located in downtown Rockport, Maine. Bay Chamber Concerts plays a principal role in bringing music, particularly classical music, to the Mid Coast area. During the months of July and August Bay Chamber Concerts hosts a Summer Music Festival bringing an assortment of musical groups to the Rockport Opera House and surrounding venues. The Conway House is an historic house and museum in Rockport and Camden, Maine. Probably built in the 1770s, it is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Knox County. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969.
C. Parker Crowell FAIA (1876–1959) was an American architect in practice in Bangor, Maine from 1902 until his retirement in 1956. Crowell and his firm would design over 1000 buildings in the course of his career. The firm Crowell co-founded is still in business as WBRC.
Stephen L. Bowen is an American politician and educator from Maine. A Republican, Bowen served in the Maine House of Representatives from 2002 to 2006, representing Camden and his residence in Rockport. Prior to serving in the Legislature, Bowen taught social studies for 10 years. After leaving elected office, Bowen directed the Center for Education Excellence at the Maine Heritage Policy Center. During the 2010 gubernatorial election, Bowen served as then candidate Paul LePage's policy adviser on education, government reform, budget and marine resources policy. LePage won the 2010 election and, in February 2011, newly elected Governor Paul LePage appointed Bowen Commissioner of Education. In August 2013, Bowen resigned as Education Commissioner effective September 12. He did so in order to take a position with the national Council of Chief State School Officers.
David Miramant is an American Democratic politician and pilot from Maine. He represents Senate District 12, Knox County, in the Maine Senate. Miramant served in the Maine House of Representatives from 2006-2008 and was first elected to the Senate in 2014. Miramant is a career pilot: He flew commercial Boeing 767s at Delta Air Lines and has owned and operated a glider ride service on coastal Maine since 2005.

Joan W. Welsh is an American politician. She served in the Maine House of Representatives for the 94th District, representing Camden, Rockport, and Islesboro from 2008 until 2016. She is a member of the Democratic Party. District 94 used to be District 46, until the rezoning of districts came along shortly after 2012.
The Rockport Historic District encompasses the historic town center of Rockport, Maine. Arrayed around the head of its harbor, the town's most significant period of development was in the mid 19th century, because of lime processing and other industries. The town has a well-preserved collection of Greek Revival and Italianate architecture from that period. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
Surprise is a two-masted former racing schooner berthed in Camden, Maine. Built in 1917-18 in Rockport, Massachusetts, she is one of a small number of surviving schooners designed by noted naval architect Thomas F. McManus. She currently serves as a "windjammer", providing daily cruises in Penobscot Bay. She was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
Anne "Pinny" Beebe-Center is an American politician from Maine. She serves in the Maine State Senate representing District 12, comprising Knox County. Beebe-Center was born in Salem, Massachusetts and moved with her family throughout the East Coast of the United States before settling in Maine following college. She worked for the State of Maine and for various education and nonprofit organizations, first seeking public office in 2002 when she was elected commissioner of Knox County. Beebe-Center served three terms in the Maine House of Representatives beginning in 2015 before running for the Maine Senate in 2022. She is currently serving her first term.
