Malek Afsary is a Bangladeshi film director, who has directed 24 films. Afsary began his career as an Assistant Director in the early 1970s. He made his film debut as an Assistant Director in the film Piyasi Mon. He then wrote the story for the film Lutera and the dialogue for the film Kar Pape. He made his directorial debut in 1983 with the film Ghorer Bou. He is best known for his film Ei Ghor Ei Songshar in 1996 and Password in 2019. [1] [2] [3]

His directorial debut was the 1983 film Ghorer Bou. [4] He married actress Rosy Samad in 1981. [5] He married again after the demise of his 1st wife Rosy Afsary.

Career

He achieved fame directing Salman Shah featured Ei Ghor Ei Songshar (1996), even though the film was a box office flop. [6] Then in 2000 he worked with Shakib Khan for the first time in the action film Hira Chuni Panna, Thekao Mastan (2001), Ulta Palta 69 (2007), Moner Jala (2011), [7] Full and Final (2013), [8] Antor Jala (2017), [9] In 2019 he teamed up with Shakib Khan again in the action thriller Password, which was Khan own production. It was a box office blockbuster and also one of the highest grossing Bangladeshi film of all-time. [10]

Password is a 2019 Bangladeshi action-thriller film directed by Malek Afsari. The film is produced by Shakib Khan and Mohammad Iqbal, under the banner of SK Films. It features Shakib Khan as Rudra, who, through his autistic younger brother Rusho, played by Emon, comes into possession of the password to a Swiss bank account. Misha Sawdagor stars as Victor, a gangster trying to steal the password. Shabnom Bubly features as Rudra's love interest, Dr. Shabnom. The movie is loosely based on the 2010 French movie Point Blank.

Masum Babul was a Bangladeshi film dance director and choreographer. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Choreography twice, for the film Dola (1993) and Ki Jadu Karila (2008). Ei Ghor Ei Songsar is a 1996 Bangladeshi drama film which was directed by Malek Afsary, starring Salman Shah, Brishti, Bulbul Ahmed, Rosy Afsary, Ali Raj and Tamalika Karmakar in lead roles. This film was released on 5 April 1996. This film performed very poorly at the box office.
