Malique Thompson-Dwyer (born 2 February 1998) is an English actor, known for portraying the role of Prince McQueen in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks from 2016 to 2019 and 2021 onwards.

Career

Thompson-Dwyer's first on-screen acting role was as Tommo in the CBBC children's drama The Dumping Ground . In 2016, he joined the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks as Prince McQueen, the son of Goldie McQueen (Chelsee Healey) and the twin brother of Hunter McQueen (Theo Graham). His first appearance was in the episode shown on 17 November 2016. [2] For his work in Hollyoaks, Thompson-Dwyer won "Best Partnership" at the British Soap Awards 2018, alongside Theo Graham. [3] In 2019, Thompson-Dwyer departed from the cast of Hollyoaks. It was confirmed in Summer 2021 that he will return with his return airing in September 2021.

In 2017, Thompson-Dwyer appeared as young Wet Stick in the film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword . [4] In November 2018, it was announced that he would compete in the eighteenth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! . Aged 20 at the time of participating, he is the youngest contestant to appear on the show, [5] and was the second to be eliminated on 2 December 2018. In 2020, he appeared in the eighth series of Celebs Go Dating and in December in Celeb Ex in the City . [6] The following year, he competed on the MTV series Celebs on the Farm . [7]

Personal life

Thompson-Dwyer has two daughters born in 2017 and 2022. [8] [9]

Russ Owen is a fictional character in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Stuart Manning. He first appeared in the episode first broadcast on 6 August 2004 with the Owen family and has been involved in storylines including being diagnosed with testicular cancer and kidnapping his son Max McQueen. It was announced in April 2009 that Manning had quit the role and Russ departed in the episode first broadcast on 3 June 2009. Nine years later, it was confirmed that Manning would reprise the role. Russ returned on 13 August 2018 and was killed-off on 16 November 2018 after being murdered by Breda McQueen.

Carl Costello is a fictional character from the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Paul Opacic. The character was introduced by executive producer Paul Marquess and he debuted on screen during the episode broadcast on 19 July 2010. Carl arrived in the village as the new owner of The Dog in the Pond and the father of established character Jem Costello. Carl departed from Hollyoaks on 1 December 2011 with his son Jason Costello. Opacic later reprised his role and returned to Hollyoaks on 26 September 2012 and left again on the 5 October 2012. Opacic reprised his role once more in January 2013, which coincided with the exit of Mitzeee Minniver. He returned on 25 January 2013 and departed again on 15 February 2013. Opacic returned again for a guest appearance on 10 July 2018, which ended in his character being murdered by an unknown assailant on 11 July of that year. He reappeared via a flashback on 16 November 2018, which revealed Breda McQueen to be his killer.

Peri Lomax is a fictional character from the British E4 soap opera Hollyoaks and is portrayed by Ruby O'Donnell. Peri made her first on-screen appearance in episode 3705, originally broadcast on 4 October 2013. After being introduced as the "sister" of pre-established longstanding character Ste Hay alongside her believed to be two sisters Leela Lomax and Tegan Lomax, the character was devised in a plot-twist meaning she was revealed to be the biological daughter of Leela who had conceived Peri at fourteen with childhood lover and serial killer Cameron Campbell who later murdered her grandparents. The character was placed at the forefront of an issue-led based storyline in 2015 when the character began portraying in a high-profile teenage pregnancy storyline alongside Tom Cunningham. "Episode 5675" is an episode of the British television soap opera Hollyoaks. The episode focuses on a birthday party for Walter Deveraux and features an exclusively Black cast. The episode was produced, written and directed by Black creatives – the first of its kind for a British soap opera. The episode formed part of broadcaster Channel 4's Black to Front movement, a day where solely Black-fronted programming was shown. Plans for the episode were initially announced in August 2020 as a response to the protest movement arising from the murder of George Floyd. Cordelia "Dilly" Harcourt is a fictional character from the British E4 soap opera Hollyoaks and is portrayed by Emma Johnsey-Smith. It was announced on 30 June 2023 by executive producer Lucy Allan that Dilly would be introduced as a newcomer set to "destroy" Sienna Blake. Dilly made her first appearance in episode 6155, originally broadcast on 14 July 2023. Dilly is initially introduced as the sister of Rafe Harcourt who would grow suspicious of Sienna's intentions with her "brother", believing her to be a gold-digger after the family fortune. She was later to be revealed as Rafe's wife, and the pair were set to ruin Sienna's life, but a reasoning behind as to why was left unrevealed. The character was then devised in a plot-twist as the estranged daughter of the deceased Patrick Blake who he abandoned during her early childhood in favour of Sienna – the reasoning behind her life-long vendetta.
