The Manchester Athletic Club (also known as MAC) is an athletic club located in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts with an entrance at 8 Atwater Avenue. [2] The club has seven indoor tennis courts and five outdoor courts, including a stadium court and four courts which are bubbled during the winter months. The tennis academy is a USTA Certified Regional Training Center and has some of New England's best coaches.[ neutrality is disputed ] MAC also has a large, two-story gym with a variety of equipment, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a training turf, a field, an indoor sport court, and an outdoor sport court. It is close by to several running/walking trails and just minutes away from downtown Manchester-by-the-Sea. The athletic club offers individual tennis and fitness lessons, group tennis and fitness lessons, junior tennis academies and camps, junior fitness training camps and a Sports Performance Institute as well as a variety of junior summer camps.[ citation needed ][ original research? ]

The Boston Lobsters Tennis Center, home of the Boston Lobsters of World TeamTennis from 2005 through 2015, is located on the club grounds. The stadium has a seating capacity of 1,634 people. On February 17, 2016, WTT announced that the Lobsters would cease operations. [3]

In 2012, Club Industry named Blue Sky Holdings, Inc., the parent company of the Manchester Athletic Club, to the list of the Top 100 Clubs in America. [4]

Navy Midshipmen

The Navy Midshipmen are the athletic teams that represent the United States Naval Academy. The academy sponsors 33 varsity sports teams and 12 club sport teams. Both men's and women's teams are called Navy Midshipmen or "Mids". They participate in the NCAA's Division I, as a non-football member of the Patriot League, a football-only member of the American Athletic Conference in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), and a member of the Collegiate Sprint Football League (men), Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges (men), Eastern Association of Women's Rowing Colleges, Eastern Intercollegiate Gymnastics League (men), Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference (men) and Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association. Navy is also one of approximately 300 members of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).

John Charles Centre for Sport

The John Charles Centre for Sport is a sports facility in South Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It consists of the South Leeds Stadium, Aquatics Centre, Indoor Athletics Centre and Tennis Centre. It was previously named the South Leeds Stadium and was renamed to honour John Charles (1931–2004), the former Leeds United, Juventus F.C. and Wales footballer. It is located to the south of Leeds city centre roughly on the border of Beeston, Belle Isle and Hunslet. The sports centre opened in 1996, with the Aquatics Centre opening in 2007.

Leigh Sports Village

Leigh Sports Village is an £83 million multi-use sports, retail and housing development in Leigh, Greater Manchester, England. The centrepiece of the development is a 12,000-capacity stadium which is home to professional rugby league team Leigh Centurions, Manchester United's under-19 and under-23 teams and Manchester United W.F.C. The complex also plays host to amateur rugby league club Leigh East and amateur athletics club Leigh Harriers, who both occupy dedicated facilities on the site. Other facilities on site include the Leigh campus of Wigan and Leigh College, Leigh Sports Centre, which includes a gym, multi-use sports hall and swimming pool, a Holiday Inn Express hotel, a Morrisons supermarket and the Whistling Wren pub.

Wavertree Sports Park

Wavertree Sports Park is a large sporting, exercise and leisure complex located in the Wavertree area of Liverpool, England. The sports park is home to the Liverpool Aquatics Centre, Liverpool Tennis Centre and Wavertree Athletics Centre alongside numerous other health and fitness related facilities.

The Howard M. Terpenning Recreation Complex, often called the Terpenning Recreation Complex or simply the THPRD recreation complex, is a 92-acre recreation complex in Beaverton, Oregon. It is owned and operated by the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (THPRD) and serves as the location of the district's administrative offices. Ferncroft Country Club is a country club owned and operated by Affinity Management, located in Essex County, Massachusetts with portions of the club's grounds in the towns of Middleton, Topsfield and Danvers. The club's entrance is at 10 Village Road in Middleton.
