Manoj Bhattacharya (born 29 November 1949) is a veteran Indian politician who served as the member of parliament in Rajya Sabha from West Bengal. [1] He is the General Secretary of Revolutionary Socialist Party.
Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) is a communist party in India. The party was founded on 19 March 1940 by Tridib Chaudhuri and has its roots in the Bengali liberation movement Anushilan Samiti and the Hindustan Socialist Republican Army.
Manoj Prabhakar is a former Indian cricketer and coach,who recently coached Nepal National Cricket Team. He was a right-arm medium-pace bowler and a lower-order batsman,and also opened the innings a few times for the Indian cricket team. He was part of the Indian squad which won the 1985 World Championship of Cricket,1984 Asia Cup,1990-91 Asia Cup and 1995 Asia Cup.

Kranti (transl. Revolution) is a 1981 Indian historical drama film,produced,edited,dialogue and directed by Manoj Kumar,with the story and screenplay written by Salim–Javed. It stars an ensemble cast,consisting of Dilip Kumar in the title role along with Manoj Kumar,Shashi Kapoor,Shatrughan Sinha,Hema Malini,Parveen Babi in pivotal roles. The film also marked the return of Dilip Kumar after a four-year hiatus. It ranks among the top 10 highest grossing Indian films of all time,when adjusted for ticket-price inflation. It was one of the most expensive Indian films of the time and it went on to become the highest grossing Indian film of the 1980s decade by a distance,when adjusted for inflation. Kranti is the biggest patriotic hit ever seen in India. It was the second highest grossing Indian film ever behind Sholay (1975) at the time of its release. However,it did higher business than Sholay in its original run. It grossed ₹20 crore as compared to ₹15 crore of Sholay in the original run. Sholay did exceptionally well in re-runs earning more profit in the meanwhile period.

For the first time the 42d IFFI had launched its own poster with a depiction of fest motif "Peacock",made as a "dancing peacock" by veteran film design and art consultant Thotta Tharani. The IFFI signature film was conceptualized by veteran film maker Shaji Karun. New sections such as “Kaleidoscope”,3 D,Animation,European discoveries,Master Classes and Russian Classics were included,along with the inaugural Best Director Award.
