Mantras is the sixth studio album by American rock band Alien Ant Farm, released on April 26, 2024. [4] It is their first studio album in 9 years, since Always and Forever in 2015. The album was announced on January 19, 2024, alongside releasing a single titled "So Cold" that same day. [5]

As with the previous album, it featured Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith, then a member of Dickinson's solo outfit. This was his last solo album before he and Adrian Smith rejoined Iron Maiden the following year.

Following the self-release of the band's debut studio album, Greatest Hits (1999), they played several showcases in Los Angeles, California. At the end of 2000, Alien Ant Farm started recording their next album with producer Jay Baumgardner at NRG Recording Studios in North Hollywood, California. An alternative metal and nu metal release, critics compared the album to the works of Incubus and A Perfect Circle.

The Mission is the sixteenth studio album by American rock band Styx, released on June 16, 2017, through UMe. It is the band's first studio album since 2005's Big Bang Theory and their first release of original material since 2003's Cyclorama. The album reached #45 on the Billboard 200, propelled by pre-sales prior to its official release date, but fell off the chart after 2 weeks. In an era with limited album sales, total U.S. Sales were approximately 15,000 copies, a far cry from the band's triple platinum past. Yet, the album did briefly reach the Top 100 in four other countries. The concept album tells the story of a mission to the planet Mars in the year 2033. The album's story was written by Tommy Shaw and Will Evankovich. Evankovich played a significant role, serving as producer and co-writing all but one of the full length tracks.

Greatest Hits is the debut studio album by American rock band Alien Ant Farm, released in 1999 through the bands own label "Chick Music Records". Despite its name, it is not a compilation album, and was intended to be tongue-in-cheek. The album won best independent album at the 9th annual LA Music awards in 1999. Most of the songs were reworked for Anthology and Truant.
