Marta Teresa Smith de Vasconcellos Suplicy is a Brazilian politician and psychologist. She was Mayor of São Paulo from 2001 to 2004. She later served as the Brazilian Minister of Tourism between 14 March 2007, and 4 June 2008, when she resigned to run again for the mayoralty of São Paulo. In 2015, she left the Brazilian Workers' Party (PT), but she returned to the party in January 2024 in order to be the running mate of Guilherme Boulos in the 2024 São Paulo mayoral election.

She previously was Senator for Mato Grosso do Sul from 2015 to 2023, Vice-Governor of Mato Grosso do Sul from 2011 to 2014, and mayor of Três Lagoas from 2005 to 2010. A member of the Brazilian Democratic Movement (MDB), of which she was the leader in the Senate from 2018 to 2019, Tebet was the MDB candidate for president in the 2022 Brazilian general election, placing third with 4.16% of the vote. After endorsing Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, in the second round, Tebet was appointed Minister of Planning.

Antônio Carlos Peixoto de Magalhães Neto, commonly known as ACM Neto, is a Brazilian lawyer and politician. He was the national president of the Democrats (DEM), and is currently general secretary of the Brazil Union. He is the grandson of deceased Senator and Governor of Bahia Antônio Carlos Magalhães (ACM), nephew of Luís Eduardo Magalhães and son of Antônio Carlos Magalhães Júnior, and political inheritor of one of the most powerful political families of the country. He was elected mayor of Salvador in 2012 and reelected in 2016. During both of his terms as mayor he was rated the most popular mayor in Brazil.

The 2020 São Paulo municipal election took place in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, with the first round taking place on 15 November 2020 and the second round taking place on 29 November 2020. Voters voted to elect the Mayor, the Vice Mayor and 55 city councillors for the administration of the city. The result was a 2nd round victory for incumbent Mayor Bruno Covas of the Brazilian Social Democratic Party (PSDB), winning 3,169,121 votes and a share of 59,38% of the popular vote, defeating political activist Guilherme Boulos of the Socialism and Liberty Party (PSOL), who took 2,168,109 votes and a share of 40.62% of the popular vote.

Márcio Gualberto dos Santos is an inspector of the Civil Police and Brazilian state deputy member of the Liberal Party from Rio de Janeiro. In the elections of 2018, Gualberto was elected deputy with 23,169 votes, with his expense of 3,288.98 reais, setting the best relation between number of votes and campaign expenses, with 14 cents per voter..
