Marcus Tupuola (born October 5, 1995) is an American professional rugby union player who plays as a back for the United States national sevens team. [1]

International career

Tupuola grew up in Carson, California, where he attended Carson High School. He attended university at Notre Dame College. He played for Major League Rugby side San Diego Legion in the 2019 Major League Rugby season. [2]

Tupuola also represents the United States national rugby sevens team where he plays fly-half. [3] [4] He debuted for the US Sevens team in 2019. [5] He represented the U.S. in Rugby sevens at the 2019 Pan American Games.

The USA Sevens is a rugby sevens tournament held annually during March in the United States. The USA Sevens is the largest annual rugby competition in North America, drawing over 60,000 fans, and is broadcast live in the United States by ESPN. The USA Sevens was introduced in 2004, originally in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson, California. The event moved to San Diego in 2007, and from there moved to Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas in 2010.
