Margareta Arvay (born 1 October 1937) is a Romanian cross-country skier. She competed in the women's 10 kilometres at the 1956 Winter Olympics. [1]
Ulrika Margareta Knape-Lindberg is a retired Swedish diver. She competed in the 10 m platform and 3 m springboard at the 1972 and 1976 Olympics and won one gold and two silver medals. In 1972–1974 she was named the World Platform Diver of the Year. Domestically she won 38 Swedish titles.
Ludovika Antje Margareta Jakobsson-Eilers was a German-Finnish figure skater. Competing in pair skating with her husband Walter Jakobsson, she won the gold medal at the 1920 Summer Olympics, where she was the only German-born athlete, and became the oldest female figure skating Olympic champion. The pair also earned three world titles, in 1911, 1914 and 1923, and finished second and fifth at the 1924 and 1928 Olympics, respectively. Eilers also had some success in single skating, winning a bronze medal at the 1911 World Championships.
Margareta Keszeg is a retired middle distance runner from Romania. She won several medals in European and World Indoor Championships over 3000 metres, including winning the 1992 European Indoor Championships. Her personal best time of 8:39.94 was set in 1992.
Attila Sávolt is a tennis player from Hungary, who represented his native country at the 2000 Sydney Olympics where he lost to Paradorn Srichaphan in his first match. Starting his professional career in 1995, he peaked the ATP-ranking on May 20, 2002, reaching 68 on the world rankings. Surprisingly he has a 1-0 head to head against Tim Henman after beating the 4th seed 11th ranked in the 2003 Dubai Tennis Championships. He also defeated Jiří Novák in their only ATP Tour match-up at the 2002 Orange Warsaw Open, when the Czech was ranked 5th in the world. He participated in the 2004 Hopman Cup alongside Petra Mandula. He won the Hungarian Championships two times. He was coaching Márton Fucsovics and is currently a sports commentary on Sport 1.
Anna Teresa Margareta "Greta" Johansson was a Swedish diver and swimmer, who competed at the 1912 Summer Olympics. She won the gold medal in the 10 m platform and finished fourth with the Swedish 4 × 100 m freestyle relay team.
Margareta Cordelia Cederschiöld was a Swedish tennis player who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics. She was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the outdoor singles. In the indoor singles she lost in the first round. In the indoor mixed doubles she and her partner Carl Kempe finished fourth without competing in the bronze medal match.
