Mari Piuva (born 21 October 1980) is an archer from Finland who competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics.

Piuva was born in Kemi in Lapland and was introduced to archery at the age of fifteen. [1] She was a three-time Finnish national archery champion prior to winning a qualification spot for the 2004 Olympics at that year's European Archery Championships. [2] [3] Entering the women's individual event, Piuva was seeded 49th for the competition's elimination rounds with a score of 615 points – from a maximum of 720 – in the preliminary 72-arrow ranking round. After defeating Georgia's Natalia Nasaridze in her opening elimination match she was beaten by Great Britain's Naomi Folkard in the second round. [4] [5]

MTV3 is a Finnish commercial television station. It had the biggest audience share of all Finnish TV channels until Yle TV1 took the lead. The letters MTV stand for Mainos-TV, due to the channel carrying advertising for revenue. Alison Jane Williamson MBE is a retired British archer who represented Great Britain at six consecutive Olympic Games from 1992 to 2012. She won a bronze medal in the women's individual event at the 2004 Summer Olympics, becoming the first British woman to win an Olympic archery medal in ninety-six years. Williamson achieved two medals at the World Archery Championships and represented England at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, winning two silver medals.

Mariana Avitia Martínez is a Mexican recurve archer. She was the first Mexican to win an Olympic medal in archery after taking bronze in the women's individual event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She is also the youngest Mexican athlete to compete in two Olympic Games, contesting both the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2010 Summer Youth Olympics by the age of seventeen.

She placed 48th in the women's individual ranking round with a 72-arrow score of 616. In the first round of elimination, she faced 17th-ranked Naomi Folkard of Great Britain. Pilipova lost 139-128 in the 18-arrow match, placing 57th overall in women's individual archery. She was born in Ural'sk, Kazakh SSR.

Archery at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Womens individual

The women's individual archery event at the 2012 Olympic Games was held from 27 July to 2 August 2012 at Lord's Cricket Ground in London in the United Kingdom. The event was one of four which comprised the 2012 Olympic archery programme of sports and was the eleventh time the women's individual competition was contested as an Olympic event. Forty different nations qualified for the competition, sending a total of sixty-four archers to compete. Dos Santos currently trains under the tutelage of head coach Evandro Azevedo for the Brazilian national squad, while shooting at Iris Archery Range on the outskirts of her hometown Maricá in Rio de Janeiro.
