Mariah Alice Jane Millen (born June 29, 1998) is a Canadian sailor in the 49er FX class with partner Alexandra Ten Hove. [1]

Career

In 2019, Millen and Alexandra Ten Hove competed at the 2019 Pan American Games, finishing in fourth place, and qualified Canada an entry for the event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. [2]

In February 2020, the pair finished in 18th place at the World Championships, their highest placement in the event. [3]

In March 2021, Millen was named to Canada's 2020 Olympic team with her partner Alexandra Ten Hove. [4] [5]

Millen was part of the Canadian Team in the 2024 Barcelona Women's 37th America's Cup. [6] [7]

Sailing competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo took place from 25 July to 4 August 2021 at the Enoshima Yacht Harbor in Enoshima. The venue was also used for the 1964 Olympic Games although significantly regenerated, the IOC now encouraging regeneration, cost reductions and sustainability. The RS:X, Laser, Laser Radial, Finn, 470, 49er, 49erFX, and Nacra17 are all returning for 2020; there are no significant changes to the Olympic programme from 2016.

Sailing competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto will be held from July 12 to 19 at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club's ferry station and parking lot on the mainland side of the harbour. Spectator viewing areas were available for free on Sugar Beach and the surrounding boardwalk. A total of ten events were contested.
