Latin trap is a subgenre of trap music that originated in Puerto Rico. A direct descendant of southern hip hop, and influenced by reggaeton, it gained popularity after 2007, and has since spread throughout Latin America. The trap is slang for a place where drugs are sold. Latin trap is similar to mainstream trap with lyrics about life on la calle, drugs, sex and violence, without censorship.
Daryl Jake Borja Ruiz, known professionally as Skusta Clee, is a Filipino rapper, singer-songwriter, actor and a member of the Filipino hip-hop collective Ex Battalion. He is known for his numerous hit singles "Zebbiana", "Pauwi Nako", and "Dance With You" and is notably regarded as the pioneer of the Pinoy trap genre, as he first started the mainstream trap movement in the country. He is also a member of O.C. Dawgs, a hip-hop group he formed in 2012.

"Grace" is a song by American rappers Lil Baby and 42 Dugg. The track was released on February 28, 2020, as the fourth track off of Baby's album My Turn. "The Light" is the debut single of the Filipino boy group BGYO. It was released on 29 January 2021 as a Digital Single by Star Music. Written by the band members Gelo, Nate, Akira, Mikki and JL along with Distract, who has worked with SISTAR, NCT and GOT7; composed and arranged by Rogan and Ddank; mixing, mastering, and digital editing were done by Jang Tae In at Seoul Archive.
"Panalo" (transl. "Victory") is a song by Filipino-American rapper Ez Mil, released on July 26, 2020, as the fifth track on the album Act 1. It features lines in three languages: Filipino/Tagalog, English, and Ilocano in the original Wish 107.5 recording with an addition of Cebuano for the following Pacquiao Version official music video release.
Archie Basilio dela Cruz, known professionally as Flow G, is a Filipino rapper, singer-songwriter, and member of the Filipino hip-hop collective Ex Battalion.
"Bazinga" is a song by Filipino boy band SB19, which was first released on their first extended play (EP), Pagsibol (2021). John Paulo Nase wrote the song and produced it with Simon Servida. Sony Music Philippines released "Bazinga" as a single in October 2021. It is a trap-pop-produced, reggaeton-infused, hip-hop song with lyrics about self-empowerment, and served as a response to the increasing hate the boy band received on the internet. It was described as a "wake-up call" for the band to focus more on meaningful expressions of music.
Old Cash Dawgs, more popularly known by the shortened term O.C. Dawgs, is a Filipino hip hop trio consisting of Skusta Clee, Bullet D, and Jnske that was formed in 2012. The collective is known for their numerous hit singles "Pauwi Nako", "Akala Ko Nung Una", "Kriminal", and "Hayaan Mo Sila", the collaborative trap track with Ex Battalion in 2017 that almost topped the now-defunct Billboard Philippines Top 20 chart.
