Mark Philip Lavender (born 28 August 1967) is an Australian cricketer,who played for Western Australia between 1990 and 1998.
Lavender was born to Anglo-Indian parents in Madras,India,and moved to Australia at an early age. He attended the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) and represented the Western Australia Under-19s,Western Australia Colts and Western Australia Second XI teams. He also played grade cricket for Mount Lawley. [1]
He made his first-class debut for Western Australia against Victoria on 15 February 1991,at the St. Kilda Cricket Ground,scoring 118 runs on debut before being dismissed by Paul Reiffel. [2] He made his List A debut for Western Australia against Tasmania on 11 October 1991,at the WACA Ground. [3]
In total,Lavender played 53 first-class matches,scoring 3102 runs at an average of 34.08 with a highest score of 173* achieved against New South Wales . [4] He also played 30 List A matches,all for Western Australia,making 931 runs at an average of 35.80,with a highest score of 100.
Lavender also played one match for the MCC against Pakistan A at Denis Compton Oval during the 1997 season. He made 0 and 6* and took three catches. [5]
Denis Charles Scott Compton was an English multi-sportsman. As a cricketer he played in 78 Test matches and spent his whole career with Middlesex. As a footballer,he played as a winger and spent most of his career at Arsenal.

Richard Roe was an Australian cricketer who played two first-class matches for Western Australia in 1935. On debut against New South Wales,he made 35 runs in the first innings,batting at number four,before being run out. He made 29 runs in the second innings. In his second match,also against New South Wales,he made 58 runs in the first innings,his highest score. He also played one match for the Australian Capital Territory in 1940 against Illawarra,although it did not have first-class status. He died in 2008 at the age of 95.

Stuart James Karppinen is a former Australian cricketer who is also the former strength and conditioning coach of the Australian national cricket team. Born in Townsville,Karppinen moved to Canberra with his family at a young age. He played for the Australian Capital Territory Under-19s at the 1991–92 Barclays Bank Australian Under-19 Championships,taking one wicket in his only match. He was first selected for the Australian Capital Territory senior side during the 1993–94 season,although the ACT did not at the time have either first-class or List A status,and thus only played state teams' Second XIs and other sides touring Canberra. Karppinen was also the recipient of an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship in 1997. The Australian Capital Territory was admitted to the Australian domestic limited-overs competition for the 1997–98 season,playing as the "Canberra Comets". Karppinen played six matches for the team in their inaugural season,taking nine wickets with a best of 2/35. Karppinen did not play any matches the following season,and transferred to Western Australia for the 1999–2000 season.
Philip James Adams is an Australian former cricketer who played at List A level for Western Australia. Adams was born in Midland,Western Australia,and attended John Forrest Senior High School's cricket academy. He played cricket for Western Australia at both under-17s and under-19s level,scoring 228 runs from seven matches at an average of 32.57 in the 2007–08 Under-17 Championship Series,and 343 runs from seven matches at an average of 85.75,with a highest score of 171,at the 2009–10 Australian Under-19 Championships. He was selected in the Team of the Championships for the under-19 championships,and nominated in the provisional 30-man squad for the 2010 Under-19 World Cup. Adams made his Futures League debut for the Western Australia Under-23s team against Queensland Under-23s during the 2009–10 season,scoring 117* on debut. He went on to make his limited-overs debut for Western Australia against South Australia in the 2010–11 Ryobi One-Day Cup,scoring five runs batting seventh. Adams played one further match at state level,against Tasmania,and was again dismissed for five runs,having opened the innings with Marcus Harris. At grade cricket leve,he plays for Bayswater–Morley.
Ian Robinson Dick was an Australian cricketer and field hockey player who played one first-class match for Western Australia in 1950 and also captained Australia in the hockey tournament at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne. Born in Boulder,Western Australia,Dick was the brother of Alexander Dick and David Dick. The brothers' uncle,Billy Dick,captained Carlton to the 1914 VFL premiership. Having worked as a pharmacist outside of sport,Dick died in September 2012.

Gwilym Taf Kessey was an Australian cricketer who played thirteen first-class matches between 1945 and 1950 for Western Australian sides as a wicket-keeper. He made his debut for Western Australia in 1945 against the Australian Services cricket team,making 22* in his only innings. Kessey played in Western Australia's inaugural Sheffield Shield match in November 1947 against South Australia,making 12 runs batting at #8. He played one match for a Western Australia Combined XI featuring Test players Ian Johnson,Ken Meuleman,Bruce Dooland and Sid Barnes against the MCC in 1946,stumping Test cricketers Denis Compton and Bill Edrich. Overall,he played 13 first-class matches,scoring 320 runs with a highest score of 60,and making 26 dismissals. His identical twin daughters,Karen and Katherine Kessey,were both actresses.
Thomas Ian Francis Triffitt is an Australian cricketer who has played for Tasmania,Western Australia,Hobart Hurricanes and the Perth Scorchers. Triffitt attended the Australian Cricket Academy,and went on to play for the Australian under-19 cricket team,serving as the team's wicket-keeper at the 2010 Under-19 World Cup. He made his debut at state level during the 2010–11 season,and played regularly over the following seasons as a replacement for Tim Paine.
Douglas James Harris is a former Australian cricketer. From Perth,Harris excelled at junior levels,and represented the Australian national under-19 cricket team in a three-Test series during the 1980–81 season. He was named Man of the Series after scoring 195 runs from five innings. From the early 1980s,Harris was regularly selected in state colts and second XI matches,though Tim Zoehrer was generally the first-choice wicket-keeper at state level. In a Sheffield Shield match against South Australia during the 1985–86 season,Western Australia's wicket-keeper Michael Cox was unavailable to keep wicket in South Australia's second innings. Despite not having been named twelfth man,Harris substituted for Cox as wicket-keeper,and recorded two stumpings off the bowling of Wayne Andrews. However,these dismissals are not included in his career records.
Darrin Joseph Ramshaw is a former Australian cricketer who played at domestic level for Western Australia and Victoria during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The son of Graham Ramshaw,Ramshaw was a talented junior sportsman,playing Australian rules football for the Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and representing the Australian under-19 cricket team. He made his Sheffield Shield debut for Western Australia during the 1989–90 season,but moved to Victoria the following season,where he established himself as an opening batsman. Later moving to the middle order,in the absence of Dean Jones Ramshaw captained Victoria in several matches during the 1993–94 season,but that season was his last at state level. He later served as assistant coach of Tasmania and coach of Western Australia's under-19 team.
William Matthew O'Halloran was an Australian cricketer. He played six first-class cricket matches for Victoria between 1962 and 1964.
Anthony John Handrickan is a former Australian cricketer. He played in eight first-class matches and two limited overs matches for South Australia between 1976 and 1983.
