Marlies Anne van Baalen (born 30 August 1980 in Den Bosch, North Brabant) is a Dutch Dressage equestrian. She is Coby van Baalen's daughter.
Van Baalen represented the Netherlands at the 2004 Summer Olympics where she finished in 43rd position in the individual rankings. With the Dutch dressage team, in which she featured with Anky van Grunsven, Sven Rothenberger and Imke Bartels, she finished just outside the medal spots with the fourth place.
She was the first reserve for the Dutch team during the European Championships in Rotterdam 2011. In 2021, she represented The Netherlands at the Olympic Games in Tokyo with her horse Go Legend, finishing 20th in both Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special. [1]

Theodora Elisabeth Gerarda "Anky" van Grunsven is a Dutch dressage champion who is the only rider to record three successive Olympic wins in the same event. Along with her Olympic successes, she has won numerous medals at the World Equestrian Games (WEG), and is the only rider to have competed at every WEG since they began in 1990. Between 1990 and 2006, she competed at the Games in dressage, but in 2010 she was named as part of the Dutch reining team, marking a major change in discipline.
Jacoba ("Coby") Maria Jozina van Baalen-Dorresteijn is an equestrian from the Netherlands, who won the silver medal in the Team Dressage event at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. She did so alongside Anky van Grunsven, Ellen Bontje, and Arjen Teeuwissen. In the Individual Competition Van Baalen finished in fifth position. Her daughter Marlies van Baalen is also an Olympic equestrian. Van Baalen competed in the Olympics with a KWPN stallion called Ferro, also known as Olympic Ferro.
Petronella Theodora Maria "Ellen" Bontje is an equestrian from The Netherlands, who won the silver medal in the Team Dressage Event at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. She did so alongside Anky van Grunsven, Coby van Baalen, and Arjen Teeuwissen. In the individual competition Bontje finished in sixth position.

Edward Gal is a Dutch dressage rider. He and the stallion Totilas, were triple gold medalists at the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games, becoming the first horse-rider partnership ever to sweep the three available dressage gold medals at a single FEI World Games. Going into the 2010 Games, they had amassed multiple world-record scores in international competition, leading one American journalist to call them "rock stars in the horse world". After the World Equestrian Games, Totilas was sold to German trainer Paul Schockemöhle. Gal continues to be successful training and competing dressage horses at the international level. Despite the success, he has been criticised to be harsh trainer who creates stressed and fearful horses.
Totilas, also known from 2006 to 2011 as Moorlands Totilas, and nicknamed "Toto", was a Dutch Warmblood stallion standing 17.1 hands high who was considered to be one of the most outstanding competitive dressage horses in the world, the first horse to score above 90 in dressage competition, and the former holder of the world record for the highest dressage score in Grand Prix Freestyle Dressage.

Laura Graves is an American dressage rider. She represented the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympics where she won a bronze medal in the team dressage competition. Adrienne Lyle is an American Olympic dressage rider. Representing the United States, she competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London where she finished 37th in the individual competition, and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo where she was won a silver medal in the team competition. After qualifying for the individual Grand Prix Freestyle at the 2020 Olympics she withdrew from the competition out of concern for her horse, Salvino.

The individual dressage at the 2002 FEI World Equestrian Games in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain was held at Estadio Municipal de Chapín from September 10 to September 22, 2002. Germany's Nadine Capellmann won the gold medal. Beatriz Ferrer-Salat representing Spain won the silver medal and Ulla Salzgeber won bronze.
The individual dressage at the 2009 FEI European Jumping and Dressage Championships in Windsor, Great Britain was held at Windsor Castle from 25 to 30 August.
Simone Pearce is an Australian equestrian athlete. She competed at several World Championships for Young Dressage Horses and holds currently the Australian dressage records in the Grand Prix, Grand Prix Special and Grand Prix Freestyle. Pearce represented Australia at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, where she finished 36th in the individual competition with Destano. She also represented the Australian team at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, finishing 10th with the Australian team.

Domien Michiels is a Belgian dressage rider. Michiels started riding at a young age at the local riding school in his birthplace Oud-Heverlee. He made his debut on international level in 2016 in Mariakalnok, Hungary. In 2018 he competed for the first time on international Grand Prix level and represented Belgium at the Nations Cup in Geesteren, Netherlands in 2019 and Compiégne, France in 2021.
Dinja van Liere is a Dutch dressage rider. She competed at the European Dressage Championships in Hagen 2021 and was the traveling reserve for the Dutch team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Melissa Galloway is a New Zealand dressage rider. She represented New Zealand at the 2022 FEI World Championships in Herning, finishing 33rd. Galloway is the highest ranked dressage rider from New Zealand and won several Grand Prix Titles at the national championships. In 2022 she moved temporarily to The Netherlands to train with Danish Olympian Anne van Olst.
Shruti Vora is an Indian equestrienne. She represented India at the 2022 FEI World Championships held at Herning, Denmark. Vora and Anush Agarwalla were the first Indians to compete in an individual dressage event at the Dressage World Championships, where Vora scored 64.53% astride 16-year Indian-bred Denightron. Vora qualified for the World Championship at Hagen in June 2022 and represented India at the 2014 Asian Games at Incheon.
