Martin Cummins (born November 28, 1969) is a Canadian actor known for his role as Ames White in Dark Angel and as Nick Boyle in Poltergeist: The Legacy .
Cummins went to Seaquam Secondary School in the town of North Delta, British Columbia, Canada. He attended the Vancouver Actors Studio. One of his first significant roles was as host of the teen variety series Pilot One on CBC Television. [1]
Cummins guest-starred in a number of American and Canadian television shows before landing the part of Nick Boyle in the MGM series Poltergeist: The Legacy , which was filmed in Vancouver, in the late 1990s. He used the money and resources he gained while working on Poltergeist: The Legacy to fund and staff his own film We All Fall Down , based on the events of his own life after his mother's death.
Cummins' other appearances include the TV series When Calls the Heart , Andromeda , The 4400 , Dice , Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan , Kyle XY , Smallville , Stargate SG-1 , Life As We Know It , Live Once, Die Twice , UnREAL , Omen IV: The Awakening , and Devour . In this film he co-starred with Jensen Ackles from Dark Angel.
Cummins won a Genie Award for Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in 2000 for Love Come Down . [2] In 2011, he began a recurring role as Thomas on the ABC series V . He portrayed Carroll McKane in Gary Sherman's horror thriller film 39: A Film by Carroll McKane. [3] As of 2014, Cummins has been co-starring on the series When Calls the Heart and Riverdale , the latter as Sheriff Keller.

Poltergeist is an American horror film franchise distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer during the 1980s. The original trilogy revolves around the members of the Freeling family, who are stalked and terrorized by a group of ghosts, led by a demon known as the Beast, that are attracted to the youngest daughter, Carol Anne. The original film was co-written and produced by Steven Spielberg. The Poltergeist films collected a total of approximately $132 million at the United States box office.
Lara Flynn Boyle is an American actress. She is known for playing Donna Hayward in the television series Twin Peaks (1990–1991). After appearing in Penelope Spheeris's comedy Wayne's World (1992), Boyle had a lead role in John Dahl's neo-noir film Red Rock West (1993), followed by roles in Threesome (1994), Cafe Society (1995), and Happiness (1998). William Ashton Switzer is an American-Canadian voice, film, and television actor. He is known for his work on the animated television series Mummies Alive! He had a leading role in Eerie, Indiana: The Other Dimension and he also performed in Sabrina: The Animated Series. While he has voiced several roles in anime, he was also Philthy from MythQuest and the voice of Harvey Kinkle from Sabrina: The Animated Series and Sam "Cannonball" Guthrie from X-Men: Evolution. Poltergeist III is a 1988 American supernatural horror film co-written and directed by Gary Sherman, and starring Tom Skerritt, Nancy Allen, Heather O'Rourke and Zelda Rubinstein with the latter two reprising their roles from the previous films. The third and final entry in the original Poltergeist film series, it follows young Carol Anne Freeling, who is terrorized by malicious spirits while staying in her aunt and uncle's apartment at Chicago's John Hancock Center.
