Martin Toporek (born 15 February 1961 in Vienna) is an Austrian racewalker. [1] He represented his country at three consecutive Summer Olympics, in 1980, 1984, and 1988. In addition, he won a bronze medal at the 1982 European Indoor Championships.
In 1996 he tested positive for illegal stimulants substances, Methylephedrin, Ephedrin, und Pseudoephedrin, and was banned for three months. [2]

Saif Saaeed Shaheen, formerly Stephen Cherono, is a retired steeplechase runner. He was born in Keiyo, Kenya but now he represents Qatar. He was, for 19 years, the world record holder for 3000 metre steeplechase. He is a two time World Champion in the event. His older brother Abraham Cherono is also a steeplechase runner.
José Luis González Sánchez is a Spanish former middle-distance runner. He represented Spain at the Olympics on three occasions with his best performance being a semi-final run in the 1500 m in 1980.
Maurizio Damilano is an Italian former race walker. He won 15 individual medals, at senior level, at the International athletics competitions.
Lidia Chojecka-Leandro is a retired Polish middle- and long-distance runner who mainly competed in the 1500 metres and 3000 metres. She won bronze medals in the 1500 m at the 1997 and 1999 World Indoor Championships, and for the 3000 m at the 2006 World Indoor Championships. Chojecka is a six-time European Indoor Championships medallist in the 1500 m and 3000 m events, earning three golds and three silvers. She took the double at the 2007 European Indoor Championships, becoming the first runner, male or female, to win both events at the same championships. She had been one of the most consistent middle-distance runners in Europe throughout the 1990s, and finished fifth and sixth in back-to-back Olympic 1500 m finals in 2000 and 2004.
Carlo "Carletto" Mattioli is a retired male race walker from Italy, who represented his native country twice at the Olympic Games: 1984 and 1988.

Adel Mechaal Mechaal is a middle- and long-distance runner. Born in Morocco, he represents Spain internationally. In the 1500 metres, he placed fourth at the 2017 World Championships, and fifth at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Over the 5000 metres, Mechaal won the silver medal at the 2016 European Championships. He is a three-time European Indoor Championships 3000 metres medallist. He also won two medals for the men's senior races at the European Cross Country Championships.

Sue Cook is an Australian former racewalking athlete. She is a former world record holder in the 10 kilometres race walk and the 20 kilometres race walk. She competed six times at the IAAF World Race Walking Cup, taking bronze in 1983, and was selected for Australia for the 1987 World Championships in Athletics.
Dietmar Millonig is a retired Austrian long-distance runner. He won a gold medal at the 1986 European Indoor Championships. In addition, he represented his country at the 1980 Summer Olympics as well as one outdoor and one indoor World Championships.

Robert Nemeth was an Austrian middle- and long-distance runner. He represented his country in the 1500 metres at the 1980 Summer Olympics and the 1983 World Championships, reaching the semifinals on both occasions.
The Soviet Indoor Athletics Championships was an annual indoor track and field competition organised by the Soviet Athletics Federation, which served as the Soviet national championship for the sport. Typically held over two to three days in February during the Soviet winter, it was a later development to the national programme, supplementing the main outdoor Soviet Athletics Championships held in the summer.
