Maruf Mridha (born 15 May 2006) is a Bangladeshi cricketer from Munshiganj. [1] [2]
A left-arm medium-fast bowler,Mridha was one of Bangladesh's leading players when they won the 2023 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup. He took 4 for 41 and won the player of the match award in the victory over India in the semi-final,and took 3 for 29 in the final against United Arab Emirates. [3] A few weeks later he took 5 for 43 against India in the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. [4]
Aged 17,Mridha made his List A debut in March 2024 for Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy in the 2023–24 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League,taking 3 for 47 against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in the opening round. [5] After the first six rounds,Mridha was the tournament's leading wicket-taker with 16 wickets. [6]

Shahadat Hossain is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his Test debut in 2005 during Bangladesh's first tour of England. When he came onto the international scene he was cited by then coach Dav Whatmore as the fastest bowler in the team. The following year,Hossain made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Kenya. At times Hossain has struggled with conceding too many runs,and for that reason was dropped in 2009. In November 2010,Hossain was a member of the squad that won Bangladesh's first gold in any event at the Asian Games. A broken toe prevented Hossain from playing for Bangladesh in July 2011,but after more than a year since his last Test he returned to the squad in October that year. In November 2019,he was given a five-year ban from cricket,after assaulting a teammate. He made history being the first Bangladeshi to take a hat-trick in the ODI format.
The ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup is an international cricket tournament organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) contested by national under-19 teams. First contested in 1988,as the Youth Cricket World Cup,it was not staged again until 1998. Since then,the World Cup has been held as a biennial event,organised by the ICC. The first edition of the tournament had only eight participants,but every subsequent edition has included sixteen teams. Among the full members,India have won the World Cup on a record five occasions,while Australia have won four times,Pakistan twice,and Bangladesh,England,South Africa and the West Indies once each. New Zealand and Sri Lanka have reached tournament finals without winning.

The Bangladesh women's national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Bangladesh in international women's cricket matches. Mohammad Sohrawordi Shuvo is a Bangladeshi international cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox spin bowler. He played for Rajshahi Division from 2004/05 through the 2006/07 season and also appeared for Bangladesh Under-19s in 2005/06 and the Bangladesh Cricket Board Academy in 2006/07. He has taken five wickets in a first-class innings on 22 occasions,with career best figures of 7 for 45 against Sylhet Division in 2016.
