Marvin Goldklang is an American businessman. He has been a minority owner of the New York Yankees since 1979 [1] and is the majority owner of both the Pittsfield Suns in Massachusetts and the Charleston RiverDogs in the Carolina League.
He purchased the Charleston RiverDogs in 1989.
He also previously owned the Fort Myers Miracle, the Minnesota Twins' entry in the Class A Florida State League as well as the Hudson Valley Renegades, the Tampa Bay Rays’ affiliate in the short-season New York–Penn League.
He holds a bachelor's degree from the Wharton School and a JD from the Carey School of Law, both at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an LLM from New York University. [2] [3]
Since 2004, he has been in the Hall of Fame of the South Atlantic League. He was inducted in the Florida State League Hall of Fame in 2010, the New York Penn League Hall of Fame in 2018 and was elected to the board of trustees for Minor League Baseball in 2014.
The Hudson Valley Renegades are a Minor League Baseball team based in Fishkill, New York. The High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, the Renegades play in the South Atlantic League. The Renegades play their home games at Heritage Financial Park. From 1994 to 2020, the team competed in the Class A Short Season New York–Penn League.

The Southwest Michigan Devil Rays were an affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the Midwest League in 2005 and 2006. The club began play in 1995 and was previously known as the Michigan Battle Cats and the Battle Creek Yankees. They played their home games at C.O. Brown Stadium in Battle Creek, Michigan. College Park is a stadium in Charleston, South Carolina. It was primarily used for baseball and was the home of Charleston RiverDogs. It is currently used by the Citadel Bulldogs baseball team for practice. The ballpark has a capacity of 4,000 people and opened in 1940. The grandstand is constructed of metal bleachers and is largely covered by a roof. The first few rows of seats between the dugouts are situated below ground level, giving fans the rare perspective seen from dugout level.
William Clay Matthews Sr. was an American professional football lineman and patriarch of the Matthews family of football players. Matthews played for four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL), the first in 1950. When the Korean War broke out, Matthews enlisted as a paratrooper for the Army's 82nd Airborne Division. In 1953, he returned to the 49ers for three seasons.
