Mason Phillips is an American football quarterback for the Tennessee Volunteers.

Early life and high school

Phillips attended Northview Academy in his hometown of Kodak. As a senior, he threw for 1,340 yards, 13 touchdowns and three interceptions and rushed for 742 yards and eleven touchdowns. [1] Phillips finished his high school career with over 2,700 total yards passing as both a junior and senior.

Phillips was rated as a dual-threat quarterback and committed to play college football for the Tennessee Volunteers as a preferred walk-on. [2] He was the first ever player in Northview Academy's football program to enroll at a Power Four conference school. [3]
