Powertrippin' is the third studio album released by Scottish heavy metal band The Almighty. It was released in the United Kingdom in 1993 by Polydor Records and was the band's last studio album for that label. It was The Almighty's first album with new guitarist Pete Friesen who replaced founding guitarist Tantrum who had left the band in 1992. Friesen contributed to the songwriting and was a major part of the new sound presented on this album, introducing a heavier, riff based grunge sound compared to the punk leanings of earlier efforts. The subject of the cover art is taken directly from a psychedelic concert poster for MC5 designed by the legendary poster artist Gary Grimshaw in 1966, which is tracing of Life magazine cover from December 6, 1954, Jet Age Man by Ralph Morse.
Wolfsbane Save the World is the fourth studio album by the British heavy metal band Wolfsbane, released in 2012. This is the first album of new material that Wolfsbane have released since their self-titled album in 1994, although they did record one new song for their 2011 EP Did It for the Money. Thomas Zwijsen is a Dutch/Belgian (Flemish) classical acoustic and Heavy Metal guitarist. He is known for his arrangements of Iron Maiden songs for classical guitar both on YouTube since 2007 and with his 2013 and 2014 albums "Nylon Maiden", "Nylonized" and "Nylon Maiden II". Since 2011, he has worked closely with ex Iron Maiden & Wolfsbane frontman Blaze Bayley, co-composing Bayley's 2012 album The King of Metal and 2013 released Russian Holiday E.P. In 2015 he released an album in Flamenco/fusion style consisting entirely of his own compositions, entitled "Divide & Unite".
Noise is the nineteenth studio album by Japanese rock band Boris. The Japanese edition of the album was released on 18 June 2014 via Avex Group's sub-label Tearbridge Records and consists of the original album plus other songs previously released on other endeavors, like "Kimi no Yukue" which was used for a promotional video of Chunsoft video game Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward in Japan. This is the second Boris album released through a major label. It was released on 17 June 2014 through Sargent House record label internationally on both CD and double vinyl. A Japanese double vinyl edition was released by Daymare Recordings.
