Matan Evenoff (born April 23, 2007), known as Matan Even, is an American YouTuber and social media influencer. Even is the host of a satirical podcast on YouTube.

Early life

Matan Even was born in Los Angeles, California, in 2007. [1]

Early fame

Hong Kong activism

At 12 years old, Even gained some internet fame when he spoke out against the Chinese occupation of Hong Kong in 2019. [2] During a Los Angeles Clippers game, Even tricked the Dance Cam and flashed his T-shirt which stated, "Fight for Freedom, Stand up for Hong Kong", in support of the 2019–2020 Hong Kong protests. [3] Following that incident, he appeared at BlizzCon 2019 and yelled "Free Hong Kong". [4]

Students for a Free Tibet brought Even on a panel to discuss the situation in Hong Kong. [2] Infowars host Owen Shroyer had Even on his program twice to further discuss Hong Kong. [5] In a 2020 appearance, Shroyer called Even "one of the young stars of the conservative movement". [2]

The Game Awards

In 2022, when he was 15, Even gained further fame when he crashed the Game Awards 2022. [6] When Elden Ring won Game of the Year, Even snuck on stage, waited while the developers gave their speeches, and grabbed the microphone, exclaiming "I want to thank everybody and say I think I want to nominate [ sic ] this award to my Reformed Orthodox rabbi Bill Clinton. [sic] Thank you, everybody." in a thick Israeli accent. [7] [8] He later explained that he simply bought a regular ticket to the event and then walked on stage when the developers won their award. [7] He was escorted outside and a police report was taken, but there was no official arrest report. [7] He was taken to a secure area in the Microsoft Theater and then transported by the Los Angeles Police Department to the local police station, but was not arrested. [9] He was interviewed by multiple outlets after the incident. [7] [8]

Other endeavors

Even started the Matan Even Show in 2023. A number of celebrities and influencers have come on the show. [10]

Even was the opening speaker at the 2025 New York Young Republican Club Gala. [11] Even stayed in character, talking about SpongeBob SquarePants and making light of the audience. [11] [12]
