The Mathews Local School District was originally formed in 1961 as a merger of the Vienna Township Rural School District and the Fowler Township Rural School District.
Mathews High School sports teams adapted the colors of the Vienna and Fowler high school teams: the red from the red and white of the Vienna Flyers (the symbol of which was the P-51 Mustang fighter) and black of the orange and black of the Fowler Wolverines. Its current mascot is the Mustang (horse, not to be confused with the Bronco).
On January 17, 2014, the floor of the Vienna Memorial Auditorium was renamed "Rex Leach Court" after Rex Leach, the all-star player for the Vienna Flyers. Leach held numerous state records, one of which (most points in a single game) still stands today.
GlenOak High School is a public high school in Plain Township, Ohio, United States, near Canton. It is the only high school in the Plain Local School District. Sports teams are called the Golden Eagles, and they compete in the Ohio High School Athletic Association as a member of the Federal League.
Lakota West High School is a high school in the Lakota Local School District which comprises both West Chester Township and Liberty Township in a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio in the United States. From what once was a unified Lakota High School came both Lakota West and Lakota East. Situated in an exurb of Cincinnati, the two physically identical schools were built in 1997 when the district expanded. The enrollment for Lakota West is currently around 2,000 students for grades 10-12. Some unions from the old single high school still exist, such as the school's radio station, WLHS 89.9 FM, which is staffed by students from both Lakota East and Lakota West.

It was formed in the autumn of 1965 with the consolidation of the two eastern Allen County School Districts: Lafayette-Jackson and Auglaize-Local. Liberty-Benton High School is a public high school near Findlay, Ohio, and the only high school in the Liberty-Benton Local School district. It is named for Liberty Township, the village of Benton Ridge, and Eagle Township. Its mascot is the bald eagle, and its school colors are blue and white, accented with red. It is also a member of the Blanchard Valley Conference. In 1995, the school expanded by building a new high school facility about a fourth of a mile from the main building. After the new building was completed, all sports programs except football, baseball, track, and softball were moved to the new building. Football and track continued at the main school until 2003. The baseball and softball teams played at Benton Ridge Park until fields at the new high school were finished in the late 2000s. The new high school hosts district tournaments in basketball, volleyball, and track.
