She also won the javelin title at the 1989 IAAF World Cup and silver medals at the World Championships in 1987 and 1991.

He also competed in the individual road race at the 1992 Summer Olympics.

Two of the athletes debuted in the 2012 Summer Olympics, with long-distance freestyle swimmer Julia Hassler leading the squad as the nation's flag bearer in the opening ceremony.
