Appraising her YouTube work, We The Unicorns's Liam Dryden noted "[a]fter the release of album Maybe Trapped Mostly Troubled, Tessa has been quietly working on her next project." [9] Later, reviewing her single "Dream" in 2016, Dryden said "she's been extremely hard at work on the follow-up to "Maybe Trapped, Mostly Troubled"; and it's all been completely worth it." [10] Reviewing Bad Ideas in 2019, Scot Scoop's Zachary Khouri remarked "I’ll be searching for “Maybe Trapped Mostly Troubled,” wherever I can find it." [6] Billboard 's Hannah Malach described Maybe Trapped Mostly Troubled as "energetic." [8]

Definitely Maybe is the debut studio album by English rock band Oasis, released by Creation Records on 29 August 1994. The band booked Monnow Valley Studio near Rockfield in late 1993 to record the album and worked with producer Dave Batchelor, whom lead guitarist and chief songwriter Noel Gallagher knew from his time working as a roadie for the Inspiral Carpets, though sessions were unsatisfactory and Batchelor was subsequently fired.

Violet listened to audiobook version while on tour after her mom said it was "one of the scariest books she’s read, and one of the most well-written." Violet described the album as "dark pop". The album was produced by frequent Tessa Violet collaborator Seth Earnest.

Bad Ideas is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Tessa Violet, released on October 25, 2019, by T∆G Music. The album was originally set to be released on August 3, 2018, but was delayed indefinitely until the official announcement on October 4, 2019, with the tracklist announced three days later. Bad Ideas was preceded by the singles "Crush", "Bad Ideas", "I Like You", "Games", and "Words Ain't Enough"; additional single "Bored" followed in 2020. The album was produced by Seth Earnest, who has collaborated with Violet since 2013.

They are best known from their collaborations with Tessa Violet, as well as opening for Cold War Kids, Tessa Violet, Peach Pit, Walk off the Earth, and Arkells. In 2014, they independently released their first album, Lee, and later an EP, Talk Peace to a Wolf (2016). Daysormay then signed with The Artist Group label and released their second album, Just Existing (2021).
