Mayfair High School is a middle and high school in the Bellflower Unified School District in the city of Lakewood, California. The school first opened in 1959. The student population is approximately 2,500 in grades 7 through 12. Mayfair serves students in the cities of Lakewood, Bellflower, Cerritos, as well as other surrounding cities, though the students not from Cerritos, Bellflower, or Lakewood usually need special waivers to attend.
The school mascot is the "Monsoons" and the logo is a vortex. School colors are white, blue, and grey. The school newspaper is called The Windjammer and the yearbook Tradewinds.
The student population racial makeup in 2022 was 15.4% African-American, 0.3% American Indian or Alaskan Native, 11.8% Asian, 55.8% Hispanic or Latino, 1.0% Pacific Islander, 12.2% White and 3.4% Two or more races. The student population is approximately 1900+ in grades 7 through 12. [2] Mayfair serves students in the cities of Lakewood, Bellflower, and Cerritos.
Mayfair High School athletic teams participate in the Southern Section of CIF in the Suburban League with La Mirada, Norwalk, and Bellflower. The Monsoon athletic teams continue to be seen as dominant force within the Suburban League.

Bellflower is a city located in southeast Los Angeles County, California, in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. It was founded in 1906 and incorporated on September 3, 1957. As of the 2020 census, the city had a total population of 79,190, up from 76,616 at the 2010 census. Ocean View High School (OVHS) is a public comprehensive college-prep academy located in Huntington Beach, California. OVHS was established in 1976; their mascot is the Seahawks. Currently, there are approximately 1,350 enrolled students. It is part of the HBUHSD school district, with five other high schools. The school is unique in that it features the only IB Program in the district. The implementation of “embedded tutorial” at the end of each period two years ago resulted in the biggest drop in the total number of D and F grades for students in the district. It features a business academy that has 170 participants, the sole Mandarin Chinese foreign language program in the district, and a college preparation curriculum. OVHS is also a two-time California Distinguished School.

The New Mexico State University teams are called the Aggies, a nickname derived from the university's agricultural beginnings. The mascot is known as "Pistol Pete". NMSU's colors are crimson and white. Since 2023 the Aggies have competed in Conference USA in all men's and women's sports.
