Torrance High School is a high school located in Torrance, California. Founded in 1917, it is one of the oldest high schools in continuous use in California and is the oldest of the five high schools in the Torrance Unified School District. Four of its buildings are listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Established in the fall of 2001, Tesoro is 1 of 6 regular high schools in the Capistrano Unified School District. As of the 2014–2015 year, Tesoro serves nearly 2500 students in grades 9–12. Students attending Tesoro are within the cities of Rancho Santa Margarita, Las Flores, Ladera Ranch, Coto de Caza and Mission Viejo.

It is the only non-continuation public high school within the city. The school is within the San Luis Coastal Unified School District (SLCUSD), serving primarily students living in San Luis Obispo. Before the school's addition of ninth grade in 1982, the school was known as "San Luis Obispo Senior High School" (SLOSH). School colors are black and gold.

Located in Rancho San Diego, Valhalla High School is a public high school operated by the Grossmont Union High School District with an enrollment of 2,112 students. The school is characterized by its school colors, orange and white, going by the nickname Orange Nation. During its existence, the school has won the California Distinguished School Award in both 2001 and 2003, and is also accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The school is currently directed by principal Joshua Johnson and three assistant principals. Several programs are available to students, including ASB, marching, jazz, and orchestra bands, drama, color guard, cheer, dance, and athletics such as football and baseball, among other programs.
La Serna High School is a public high school in Whittier, California that was founded in 1961 and is part of the Whittier Union High School District. The school has been honored five times as a California Distinguished School most recently in 2021. The school's colors are crimson, gold, and white.
