Mayumi Kawasaki (born 1 October 1972) is a Japanese basketball player. She competed in the women's tournament at the 1996 Summer Olympics. [1]

Mayumi Aoki is a Japanese swimmer. She competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics in the 100 m and 200 m butterfly and 4 × 100 m medley relay and won a gold medal in the 100 m butterfly. She won a bronze medal in this event at the 1973 World Aquatics Championships. In 1972 she twice broke the world record in the 100 m butterfly. After retiring from competition she worked as a swimming coach and a high school teacher. In 1989 she was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

Keiko Tanaka-Ikeda was the first Japanese female gymnast to win a world title, which she accomplished on the balance beam in 1954. For 63 years, she remained the only Japanese female gymnast who won a world gold medal - until Mai Murakami won the floor exercise at the 2017 World Championships. Tanaka-Ikeda won seven more medals at the world championships from 1958 to 1966. She also competed at the 1956, 1960, and 1964 Olympics in all artistic gymnastics events and won a team bronze medal in 1964; her best individual achievement was a fourth place on the floor in 1956.

Kei Takase is a Japanese sprinter. He competed in 200 metres at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and was part of the Japanese 4 × 400 m team. He also competed in the 2013 World Championships in Athletics, held in Moscow. More recently he took part in 100 metres races in various meetings, clocking 10.09 into a slight headwind in Kawasaki in May 2015, performing well enough to represent Japan in the 100 m at the 2015 World Championships as well as in the 200 m. He is currently the chief instructor of Kawasaki Rendokan Judo Academy in Hamilton, Ontario, founded by his father Masao Kawasaki in 1958, and has held numerous positions in Judo Ontario and Judo Canada.
