McLeod's Daughters: Songs from the Series is a series of three CDs of music from McLeod's Daughters released on the Sony BMG Australia label in 2002, 2004, and 2008.

Production

The songs were written by Posie Graeme-Evans, Chris Harriott and Michaeley O'Brien. [1] The vocals were performed by Rebecca Lavelle (who also performed much of the other music for the series) and recorded in Sydney. [2]

McLeod's Daughters: Songs from the Series Volume 1 or Volume 1 was recorded from 2001 to 2002 and released on 26 August 2002. [3] "My Heart Is Like a River" was also released as a single. The tracks were recorded by the line-up of Leon Gaer on bass guitar, Rebecca Lavelle on vocals, Peter Northcoate on guitar and Chad Wackerman on drums. [2]

McLeod's Daughters: Songs from the Series Volume 3 or Volume 3 was released on 1 September 2008. It features songs from Seasons 4-8 and includes 16 tracks. The line-up was Chris Harriott on keyboards, Rebecca Lavelle on vocals and Peter Northcoate on guitar. [10]

McLeod's Daughters is an Australian drama television series created by Posie Graeme-Evans and Caroline Stanton for the Nine Network, which aired from 8 August 2001, to 31 January 2009, lasting eight seasons. It stars Lisa Chappell and Bridie Carter in the leading roles as two sisters reunited after twenty years of separation, thrust into a working relationship when they inherit their family's cattle station in South Australia. The series is produced by Millennium Television, in association with Nine Films and Television and Southern Star. Graeme-Evans, Kris Noble and Susan Bower served as the original executive producers.

Bec Lavelle is an Australian musician, singer-songwriter. Lavelle provided lead vocals for songs on TV drama, McLeod's Daughters (2001–2009). The tracks are written by Posie Graeme-Evans and Chris Harriott. Lavelle appears on three soundtracks for the show, the first volume peaked at No. 8 on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified platinum by ARIA for shipment of 70,000 units. The second volume reached No. 19 and was certified gold for 35,000 units shipped. She had an on screen guest role as Bindy Martin in October 2006 in an episode, "Old Wrongs". As a solo artist, Lavelle has issued four studio albums: Intimate Portrait (2007), Love & Bravery (2010), Kehr Wieder (2016) and IV (2020).

The Story is the second album by Americana singer & Songwriter Brandi Carlile, and was released on April 3, 2007. The album peaked at number 41 in the Billboard 200 on May 5, 2007. The Story was produced by T Bone Burnett and recorded over eleven days on two-inch audio tape in The Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia. The album also features the guitarists and songwriters Phil and Tim Hanseroth, drummer Matt Chamberlain, cellist Josh Neumann and backing vocals by the Indigo Girls on "Cannonball". Beaches: Original Soundtrack Recording is the soundtrack to the Academy Award-nominated 1988 film starring Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey. Midler performs most of the tracks on the album, released on the Atlantic Records label. The album also reunited her with producer Arif Mardin. It features one of Midler's best-known songs, the ballad "Wind Beneath My Wings", which was a number-one hit.

The television series McLeod's Daughters had many different songs for their closing credits which were written by Posie Graeme-Evans and Chris Harriot and performed by singer Rebecca Lavelle.

Rebecca Chirnside Barnard is an Australian singer, songwriter, producer, and musician. The album debuted atop the ARIA Albums Chart and became Mauboy's first individual number-one album. She also became the first indigenous artist to debut at number one on that chart.
