Melbourne is a small community located within Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada. It lies on the boundary between two municipalities, Strathroy-Caradoc and Southwest Middlesex. About half the population of Melbourne lives in each municipality.

The community was probably named for Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. [1]

Spidertown was a small, agricultural supply and services based community in southwestern Ontario, Canada that existed in the last half of the 19th and the early 20th century. The site of the former hamlet is located at the present intersection of Mount Carmel Drive, Blackbush Line and Salem Road, on the boundary between the current municipality of North Middlesex and the municipality of South Huron. Little is currently known of Spidertown's founding, nor the origin of its name. The hamlet is described in one source as consisting, at one point in time, of "taverns on both corners" and "four homes". It is known, that in the latter 19th century a general store was operated in the community by Alexander Todd, presumably the same individual who operated two other general stores during the period at Maguire and Moray as well. A medical doctor, T. L. Flaherty, maintained a practice in a corner house in the hamlet in the latter 19th century, but is known to have moved his office to Mount Carmel, 2 kilometers (1.2 mi) to the east, before 1898. It is believed that Spidertown began to go into decline because of its inability to compete economically with the nearby hamlet of Mount Carmel. Spidertown is recorded as having disappeared by 1914.

Fingal is a small community near the north shore of Lake Erie 12 km southwest of St. Thomas, Ontario, located within the township of Southwold in Elgin County. Located in Fingal is the historic RCAF Station Fingal, which was a major centre for air force training during World War II. Now named the Fingal Wildlife Management Area its 724 acres are now a protected natural area. The Southwold Township office and the Fingal Presbyterian Church are also located in Fingal, as well as the local businesses; Stan's Total Tire, Summit Food Distribution, Fingal Farm Supply Ltd and Advantage Farm Equipment. Fingal, Ontario is well known for its world-class Holstein breeding programs.

Holmesville is a community in the Canadian province of Ontario, in the township of Central Huron, fourteen kilometres southeast of Goderich. Founded in 1832 by two Irish Canadian immigrants named Samuel and John Holmes, the community was first called Holmes Hill and Holmes Villa before receiving its current name of Holmesville in 1855. Pringle is an unorganized geographic township in Parry Sound District, Ontario, Canada. It is topographically part of the Almaguin Highlands region, and is part of the census subdivision of Unorganized Centre Parry Sound District. The township includes the communities of Bear Valley, Carr, Farleys Corners and Golden Valley. Although not an incorporated municipality, the township is served by two local services boards: Bear Valley and Golden Valley are served by the LSB of Loring, Port Loring and District, while Carr and Farleys Corners are served by the LSB of Restoule.
