Saaremaa is the largest and most populous island in Estonia, measuring 2,673 km2 (1,032 sq mi) and a recorded population of 31,435. The main island of the West Estonian archipelago, it is located in the Baltic Sea, south of Hiiumaa island and northwest of the Gulf of Riga. The administrative centre of the island, and of the Saare County, is the town of Kuressaare, which in January 2018 had 13,276 inhabitants. From the 13th century until the first half of the 20th century, the island of Saaremaa was known in most of the world by variants of its other historical name Ösel.
Beddgelert is a village and community in the Snowdonia area of Gwynedd, Wales. The population of the community taken at the 2011 census was 455, and includes Nantmor and Nant Gwynant. It is reputed to be named after the legendary hound Gelert. The community is large and sparsely populated and covers 86 square kilometres.

Skanderborg is a town in Skanderborg Municipality, Denmark. It is situated on the north and north eastern brinks of Skanderborg Lake and there are several smaller ponds and bodies of water within the city itself, like Lillesø, Sortesø, Døj Sø and the swampy boglands of Eskebæk Mose. Just north of the town on the other side of Expressway E45, is the archaeologically important Illerup Ådal. Over time, the town has grown into a suburb of Aarhus to the north east, connected by the urban areas of Stilling, Hørning and Hasselager.

The county borders Lääne County to the east, Hiiu County to the north, and Latvia to the south. In 2022 Saare County had a population of 31,292, which was 2.4% of the population of Estonia.

Venø is a small Danish island located in Limfjorden in the north of Jutland, 3 kilometres north of Struer. It is 7.5 kilometres long and has a maximum width of 1.5 kilometres. With an area of 6.5 square kilometres, it has a population of 204 as of 1 January 2015. Since 1958, there has been a ferry service from Venø Odde, the island's most southerly point, over the narrow sound to Kleppen. Venø's highest point, Forstov Bakke, is 27 metres above sea level and has cliffs to the west. The island is a popular holiday destination with good beaches and camping facilities. The only village, Venø By, in the centre of the island has Denmark's smallest church as well as a small fishing harbour which is suitable for pleasure boats.

Søborg is a parish and small community situated a few kilometers south of Gilleleje in Gribskov Municipality, North Zealand, Denmark, some 40 km north of Copenhagen. It takes its name after Søborg Castle, which was destroyed during the Count's Feud and is now left as a ruin. The town was a market town in the Middle Ages and remained the main town of Holbo Herred until the beginning of the 19th century. Today it only has a population of 236. Søborg Church dates from the 12th century. Søborg Lake to the north of the town was drained in the 19th century.
