The Inkatha Freedom Party is a right-wing political party in South Africa. Although registered as a national party,it has had only minor electoral success outside its home province of KwaZulu-Natal. Mangosuthu Buthelezi,who served as chief minister of KwaZulu during the Apartheid period,founded the party in 1975 and led it until 2019. He was succeeded as party president in 2019 by Velenkosini Hlabisa.

KwaZulu-Natal is one of the nine multi-member constituencies of the National Assembly of South Africa,the lower house of the Parliament of South Africa,the national legislature of South Africa. Keith Muntuwenkosi "Musa" Zondi is a South African politician who served as Deputy Minister of Public Works from 2001 to 2004. He represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the National Council of Provinces from 1994 to 1999 and in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2012. Inkosi Mhlabunzima Wellington Hlengwa was a South African politician and Zulu traditional leader who served as Deputy Speaker of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature until his death in March 2005. Before assuming that office in 2004,Hlengwa represented his political party,the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP),in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2004. He was also the chief of KwaThoyana Tribal Authority near Umbumbulu in eThekwini,KwaZulu-Natal,a position to which he was appointed in 1988.
Prince Nhlanhla Elijah Zulu was a South African politician and prince of the Zulu royal family. He represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the National Assembly from 1995 until his death in 2007. A founding member of the IFP in 1975,he also served on the party's National Council until his death.
Faith Xolile Gasa is a South African politician who was KwaZulu-Natal's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education and Culture from August 2000 to June 2001. She represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the National Assembly from 1994 to 1995 and in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 1995 until her death in 2005. A teacher by profession,she was also a former chairperson of the IFP Women's Brigade.
Olaf Baloyi is a South African politician and civil servant. He represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the National Assembly from 2001 to 2002,serving the KwaZulu-Natal constituency. Thereafter he was a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature from 2002 to 2004.
Velaphi Bethuel Ndlovu is a South African politician from KwaZulu-Natal. He represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the National Assembly and KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature for two decades from 1994 to 2014. Lindiwe Rosebud Mbuyazi is a South African politician who represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) coming from the education department as a school teacher,principal and National teachers Union Activist(NATU).She was also a party Whip in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2004,serving the KwaZulu-Natal constituency. After that,she was a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature 2004-2009.
Usha Roopnarain is a South African politician from KwaZulu-Natal. Between 1999 and 2013,she represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the National Assembly and KwaZulu-Natal Legislature. She resigned from the party in June 2013 and joined the African National Congress (ANC).
Aumsensingh "Omie" Singh is a South African politician and businessman from KwaZulu-Natal. From 2014 to 2019,he represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Council of Provinces,where he co-chaired Parliament's Joint Committee on Ethics and Members' Interests. Before that,he served in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 2001 to 2014 and in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2001. Having entered politics as a member of the Democratic Party (DP),he joined the ANC by floor-crossing in March 2003.
Madala Abram Mzizi,commonly spelled Abraham Mzizi,is a retired South African politician from Gauteng. He represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2003,in the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature from 2003 to 2004,and in the National Council of Provinces from 2004 to 2009. He rose to prominence during apartheid as an IFP activist on the East Rand.
Geoffrey Bongumusa Bhengu is a South African politician from KwaZulu-Natal. He represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the national Parliament from May 1994 until August 2002,when moved to the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature.
Temba Ellis Vezi is a retired South African politician who represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the National Assembly from 2002 to 2007. Before that,he served in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 1999 to 2002. During apartheid,he was a politician and legislator in the KwaZulu bantustan.
