Mia Therese Wagner (born 25 December 1977) is a Danish businesswoman,lawyer and politician. Representing Venstre,she served as Minister for Digitalisation and Equality in the Frederiksen II Cabinet from November to December 2023.
She graduated as a lawyer from the University of Copenhagen in 2003 and subsequently became a lawyer and later a partner with her father in Wagner Advokater. [1] From 2017 to 2020,she was CEO of the Freeway Group. The group is owned by Wagner's father Morten L. Wagner and brother Morten O. Wagner. [2] The latter founded the online dating site dating.dk in 1998,which is still part of the Freeway Group today. [3] In 2020,together with Anne Stampe,she founded the investment platform Nordic Female Founders,which works to create better opportunities for female entrepreneurs and investors. However,she has since disposed of all ownership and ended her collaboration with Stampe. [4]
Wagner became nationally known when she appeared as an investor in the TV series Løvens Hule on DR1 in 2019. In 2023,she also co-hosted DR1's drama documentary Matadorerne. In 2021,she was awarded the Investor of the Year award,Nordic Women in Tech Awards. [5]
Wagner was born in Viborg to Morten L. Wagner and Charlotte Wagner. Her father,Morten L. Wagner,is a former high-profile defense lawyer who had a number of well-known cases,including the murder of Karl Skomager,Lars Anborg-Nielsen and Pedal-Ove. [6] [7] She has three siblings,including entrepreneur Morten O. Wagner. Mia's brother Morten O. was a parliamentary candidate for the Conservatives in 2001 without being elected. [8]
Wagner went to Overlund School in eastern Viborg. She then took a 2-year HF at Viborg County High School. As a child and teenager,Mia Wagner dreamed of becoming a forensic pathologist and began studying medicine at the University of Odense at the age of 18,but changed her path and trained as a lawyer at the University of Copenhagen. She also has training in conflict management. Privately,she lives in Vedbæk north of Copenhagen and has two daughters from a previous marriage. [9]
Wagner started as a paralegal in her father's law firm Wagner Advokater in 2003,and in 2008 she became a partner and director of the company. In 2017,the law firm closed,and Mia Wagner became director of the Freeway Group,of which the Wagner family simultaneously took full ownership. [10] She also holds a number of board positions. [11] In 2020,Wagner in collaboration with Anne Stampe Olesen started the company Nordic Female Founders. [12]
From 2018 to 2022,Wagner as an investor in the TV program Løvens Hule,which is broadcast on DR1. [13] In her first season,which aired in the winter and spring of 2019,she was the only female investor. The other "lions" were Christian Stadil,Jesper Buch,Peter Warnøe and Jan Dal Lehrmann,of which the latter two were debutants.
Wagner was appointed Minister for Digitalisation and Equality on 23 November 2023,replacing Marie Bjerre. [14] [15] However,Wagner had to resign after only 2 weeks for health reasons on 7 December 2023 and Bjerre was re-appointed as her successor. [16] [17] Wagner was the second participant of Løvens Hule to be become minister,the first being Tommy Ahlers who was appointed Minister of Higher Education and Science 2018–2019. [18]
Uffe Ellemann-Jensen was a Danish politician who served as Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark in the Conservative-led Poul Schlüter Administration from 1982 to 1993. He was leader of the Danish Liberal Party Venstre from 1984 to 1998 and President of the European Liberals 1995–2000.

De Gyldne Laurbær is a Danish literature award,which was established in 1949. The award is handed by The Committee De Gyldne Laurbær,formerly Boghandlerklubben. The prize is given annually in February or March. Originally the award was a laurel wreath,a golden pin with an inscription,some money and a book gift worth 2500 DKK. Today the award is a laurel wreathe,a diploma and a book gift worth 2500 DKK. The award is handed at a ceremony arranged by the publishing house which has published the winning book and by the Committee De Gyldne Laurbær. Early in January every year the committee sends out ballot to all the Danish bookshops,which then give their vote for a Danish book which was published the year before. An author can only win The Golden Laurel once-in-a-lifetime,so the bookshops can not vote for an author who has already won the prize once before. The winner is usually one of the bestsellers among the Danish books. On the day when it is decided who wins the Golden Laurel,the president of the Committee of The Golden Laurel informs the winner about the award,while journalists follow the event.
Jakob Ejersbo was a Danish journalist and writer. His work is considered modern and neorealistic. Authoring the immensely popular novel,Nordkraft,which sold more than 100,000 copies,an unusually high sales figure on the book market in Denmark,Ejersbo became an established writer. A tale about three young people and drug problems in Aalborg,the work was turned into a film in 2005,directed by Ole Christian Madsen. Ejersbo is also well known for writing what is known as the Africa Trilogy,inspired by the author's own childhood experiences in Tanzania.

The party was publicly launched on 27 November 2013 by former Minister of Culture Uffe Elbæk and Josephine Fock;Elbæk had been a parliamentarian for the Social Liberal Party. Elbæk was the leader of the party until February 2020,where he stepped down and was succeeded by Fock. Currently the party is led by Franciska Rosenkilde. It collaborates with DiEM25 at the European level.

The 2020 Danish mink cull was the government-mandated slaughter of all roughly 17 million mink that were being raised on farms for their fur in Denmark. The cull started in September in response to the detection of Cluster 5,an outbreak of a novel variant of SARS-CoV-2,in the mink during the COVID-19 pandemic in Denmark. The cluster led to concerns that the potential of spillover to humans could reduce the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines. The cull was made nation-wide on 4 November 2020;however,two days later the government announced that the extension of the cull orders had been given without legal authority,causing a political scandal,also known as the "Mink Case". Around 150,000 mink were culled without authority before the problem was identified.
The Frederiksen II Cabinet is the current Government of Denmark,which took office on 15 December 2022. It succeeded the Frederiksen I Cabinet following the 2022 general election.
Tears was a Danish band formed 1967 in Aarhus,as one of the first jazz-rock bands from Denmark. The first record Tears from 1970 became very rare when a fire at Spectator Records destroyed tapes and stock in 1972. In relation to Holger Laumann's job as a music teacher,Tears also recorded an album in 1970 under the name It's So Easy,which was a children's record with Lis Sørensen.
