Composition

Mic On contains three songs. The EP opens with "1,2,3 Eoi!", a "masterful" track incorporating electronic and hip-hop elements, with the group's vocals, it adds a smooth, jazzy texture that complements the vocals in the chorus. [1] Followed with the title track "Illella", it opens with "bright" ad libs and "rich" vocals over a powerful reggaeton instrumental mixed with guitar riffs and "resounding percussion" in its arrangement. [1] The closing track "L.I.E.C." is a nu-disco song, NME noted that the song is similar in its production to the group's single "Um Oh Ah Yeh". [1]

The album features 23 tracks, including remixes and re-recorded versions of some of the group's biggest hits. It includes two original tracks, "Mumumumuch" and "Happier Than Ever," with the former being released as the lead and only official single from the album alongside the release of the album itself.

"Case 143" is a song recorded by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. It appears as the first track on their seventh extended play (EP) Maxident, released as the lead single on October 7, 2022, through JYP Entertainment and Republic Records. Written by 3Racha, Raphael of Producing Lab, and Daviid and Yosia of 3scape, "Case 143" is an electro-hop and pop track, likening the confusion one feels when falling in love to an unsolved "case", referencing the number 143, a code for "I love you".
