Michael Henne (born December 13,1961) was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives,serving the 40th District from 2011 to 2019.
After graduating from Miami University,Henne went on to found Boord-Henne Insurance Agency where he has worked since 1987.
When Representative Seth Morgan decided to seek the office of Ohio Auditor,Henne entered a crowded primary to replace him. In the Republican primary,he faced Butler Township Trustee Joe Ellis. Ellis was originally the party favorite,but due to a fight which broke out among Ellis at a local bar,the party support turned to Henne. [1] In the end,Henne defeated Ellis handily,by almost 4,300 votes. [2] In the general election,Democrats fielded well-known school board member Carl Fisher in an effort to take a pick-up from Republicans. [3] In the end,Henne defeated Fisher easily,by about 12,000 votes. [4]
Henne was sworn into office for his first term on January 3,2011. [5] Currently,Henne is on the committees of Economic and Small Business Development,Education,Financial Institutions,Housing,and Urban Development,and Insurance.
In 2012,Henne won reelection with 54.46% of the vote over Democrat Carl Fisher.

Edna Brown was an American politician,member of the Democratic Party and Minority Whip of the Ohio Senate,serving the 11th District from 2011 to 2018. She also served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2001 to 2010.
Jennifer Lee Brunner is an American attorney,politician and judge. She is currently an associate justice of the Ohio Supreme Court,a position to which she was elected after serving as a judge on Ohio's Tenth District Court of Appeals. On June 8,2021,Brunner announced her candidacy for Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court in the November 8,2022,general election. Brunner is a member of the Democratic Party who served as the Ohio Secretary of State;Brunner was the first woman to serve in this capacity. She took office after sixteen years of Republican control,which included two four-year terms by her predecessor J. Kenneth Blackwell,who oversaw the 2000 and 2004 state elections. Brunner served only a single term as Secretary of State. When it came time for re-election in 2010,she instead made an unsuccessful bid for the U.S. Senate. Prior to being elected Secretary of State,Brunner worked in the Ohio Secretary of State's Office and served as a County Judge in Franklin County,Ohio. She also owned her own private practice;during her private practice career,she focused on election law and campaign finance law. She represented a broad range of candidates,businesses,political parties and committees before the Ohio Elections Commission on quasi-criminal matters.
Tim Schaffer is a Republican member of the Ohio Senate. He was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 2001 until 2006,and of the Ohio Senate from 2007 to 2014 and also previously represented the 77th District of the Ohio House of Representatives from 2015 until 2019.
