Michelle Baptiste (born 27 August 1977) is a Saint Lucian long jumper. She was the first woman to represent Saint Lucia at the Olympics. [1]
She won the bronze medal at the 1999 Central American and Caribbean Championships. [2] She also competed at the 1996 Olympic Games without reaching the final round.
Her personal best jump is 6.47 metres, achieved in May 1996 in Springfield. [3]

Michelle Freeman is a former Jamaican track & field athlete who was an Olympic bronze medalist.
Valma Bass is a former sprinter from the United States Virgin Islands who specialized in the 100 and 200 metres. She changed nationality from Saint Kitts and Nevis in May 2003.
Yarisley Silva Rodríguez is a Cuban pole vaulter. She won the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics – the first Latin American athlete to win an Olympic medal in that event.
Levern Donaline Spencer, SLMM is a Saint Lucian retired athlete and high jumper. Spencer was a four-time Olympian for Saint Lucia and competed in eight World Championships. She was also a gold medalist at both the Commonwealth Games and Pan-American Games.
Saint Lucia sent a delegation to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The 2008 Saint Lucian team included four athletes that competed in two sports: swimming and athletics. Of these four athletes, Danielle Beaubrun, at age 18, was the youngest of the competitors. Dominic Johnson, at age 32, was the oldest, and was the only man sent as part of the 2008 delegation; additionally, Johnson was the only Saint Lucian athlete in the 2008 delegation who had previously participated in the Olympics.
Danielle Beaubrun is an Olympic and National Record holding swimmer from the Caribbean island nation of Saint Lucia. She swam for Saint Lucia at the 2008 Olympic Games, where she was the youngest member of the country's Olympic team, and again at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

The St. Lucia Athletics Association (SLAA) is the national governing body for athletics in Saint Lucia, inclusive of track and field, cross country running, road running and racewalking. The Athletics Association was formerly known as the St. Lucia Amateur Athletics Association. The organisation was founded in 1977 to promote Track and Field in Saint Lucia. In 1978 the SLAA became an affiliate member of the world governing body for athletics, then called the International Amateur Athletics Federation, and now known as the International Association of Athletics Federations.
Saint Lucia competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This was the nation's fifth consecutive appearance at the Olympics.
The 17th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships were held in the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad, between 14–16 July 2006, and organized by the National Amateur Athletic Association of Trinidad & Tobago (NAAATT). The event was open for athletes from the invited countries, that are members of the Central American and Caribbean Athletic Confederation (CACAC), in two categories: Junior A Category: 17 to 19 years as of 31 December 2004, and Junior B Category: 14 to 16 years as of 31 December 2006. The 16th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships were held in the Estadio Rafael Hernández Ochoa in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico, between 25–27 June 2004. The games were originally planned to be held in San Salvador, El Salvador. However, they were relocated to the state of Veracruz in Mexico in early 2004. Gabriela Maria DeBues-Stafford is a Canadian middle- and long-distance runner. A two-time Olympian, she placed fifth in the women's 1500 metres at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. DeBues-Stafford holds the NACAC area record over the indoor 5000 metres, which she set in February 2022.
Julien Alfred is a Saint Lucian sprinter. She won the silver medal in the 100 metres at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Alfred is the joint North American indoor record holder for the 60 metres.
