Gerald Michael McGrath (born 28 November 1947) is an Australian former triple jumper who competed in the 1970 Commonwealth Games [1] and the 1972 Summer Olympics. [2]
McGrath attended the University of Melbourne, gaining a full blue in athletics in 1969. [3] In 2014 he was named by Athletics Victoria in the Victorian all-time Commonwealth Games team. [4]
The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), also known locally as The 'G, is a sports stadium located in Yarra Park, Melbourne, Victoria. Catherine Astrid Salome Freeman is an Aboriginal Australian former sprinter, who specialised in the 400 metres event. Her personal best of 48.63 seconds currently ranks her as the ninth-fastest woman of all time, set while finishing second to Marie-José Pérec's number-four time at the 1996 Olympics. She became the Olympic champion for the women's 400 metres at the 2000 Summer Olympics, at which she had lit the Olympic Flame.
The 2006 Commonwealth Games, officially the XVIII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Melbourne 2006, were an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth held in Melbourne, Australia between 15 and 26 March 2006. It was the fourth time Australia had hosted the Commonwealth Games. It was also the largest sporting event to be staged in Melbourne, eclipsing the 1956 Summer Olympics in terms of the number of teams competing, athletes competing, and events being held.

Raymond Henry Weinberg AM was an Australian athlete and coach. He was one of Australia's finest hurdlers, being ranked in the Top 8 in the world for 4 years; an Olympic finalist; in 1952 having the fastest time in the world for 220 yards hurdles; and holding the national 110 metres hurdles record for 20 years. He also held the Victorian record in the decathlon. In addition, he created, designed and had manufactured the first Australian Olympic lapel pin.
Shirley Lavina Louise Weinberg was an Australian former athlete who competed in the 100 yards and 220 yards and other sprint distances. She held numerous state and national women's sprint records, and at the 1947 Victorian Athletics Championships won all four sprint events, 75 yards through to 440 yards.

Seamus Patrick McGrath is a retired Canadian professional mountain biker. Riding the sport for more than 15 years as a member of the Canadian national team, McGrath has won two medals in mountain biking at the Commonwealth Games, and later represented his nation Canada in two editions of the Olympic Games. Before retiring to focus on and organize the annual Tour de Victoria race in late 2008, McGrath also trained and raced professionally for Haro-Lee Dungaree and Fuji Bikes under an exclusive sponsorship contract.
Brooke Marie Buschkuehl is an Australian long jumper. She is the current Australian & Oceanic Record Holder. She represented Australia in the 2016 and 2020 Olympics. At the 2020 Olympics, Stratton jumped a distance of 6.6m in her Women's long jump heat and therefore qualified for the final. In the final she improved the distance to 6.8m but this was not sufficient to gain a medal. She came seventh, 0.17m less than the eventual winner, Malaika Mihambo of Germany.
