The West Branch Delaware River is one of two branches that form the Delaware River. It is approximately 90 mi (144 km) long, and flows through the U.S. states of New York and Pennsylvania. Couchsachraga Peak is a mountain located in Essex County, New York. "Couchsachraga" is based on an Algonquin or Huron name for the area, meaning "dismal wilderness". The mountain is part of the Santanoni Mountains of the Adirondacks. Couchsachraga Peak is flanked to the east by Panther Peak. There is no marked trail to the summit, which, being fully forested, has no views.

Its source is on Caribou Mountain in Merrill Strip, about 2,000 feet (600 m) from the Canada–United States border, which runs along the height of land between the watersheds of the Kennebec River in Maine and the Chaudière River in Quebec. From there, the river runs 5.9 miles (9.5 km) northeast to its confluence with the Moose River's South Branch in Skinner.

North Branch Moose River starts at Big Moose Lake and flows into Middle Branch Moose River in Old Forge, New York.

The East Branch Sacandaga River flows into the Sacandaga River near Wells, New York. It is partly located in the Siamese Ponds Wilderness Area. The East Branch Gorge Path is an unmarked trail that extends about a mile and climbs 115 feet along the East Branch Sacandaga River.
