Midnight 'Til Morning, often shortened to MTM, are an American-Australian boy band that formed on the Netflix series Building the Band . After forming themselves throughout the process of the series, they went on to place fourth in the competition. Midnight 'Til Morning are composed of Shane Appell, Zach Newbould, Conor Smith and Mason Watts.
In 2024, Shane Appell, Zach Newbould, Conor Smith and Mason Watts all individually auditioned for a place in a band on the Netflix competition series Building the Band . [1] The series featured 50 contestants competing to become members of bands [2] and involved contestants "liking" who they would like to connect with. [1] By episode 4, the four had bonded and formed a band. [3] [4]
The group individually rehearsed for a performance of "Higher Power" by Coldplay; their performance of the song marked the first time the members were meeting. After coming up with the name Midnight 'Til Morning, they progressed through the competition, with their performances including Billie Eilish's "Ocean Eyes", The Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris", Hoobastank's "The Reason", and Post Malone's "Circles". [5] [6] They reprised their "Ocean Eyes" performance for Netflix Summer Break, a promotional vehicle for participants of other Netflix shows broadcast seven episodes in. Other bands from Building the Band also performed. [7]
