Mierzwin [ˈmjɛʐvin] (German : Possen) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Bolesławiec, within Bolesławiec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. [1] Prior to 1945 it was in Germany.

Gmina Bolesławiec is a rural gmina in Bolesławiec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the town of Bolesławiec, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina.

Bolesławiec County is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, southwestern Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat is the town of Bolesławiec, famed for its pottery, and its only other town is Nowogrodziec. The county covers an area of 1,303.3 square kilometres (503.2 sq mi).

It lies approximately 8 km (5 mi) south-west of Bolesławiec, and 110 km (68 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
