Mighty animation (styled by the company as "mighty animation") is a Mexican animation studio based in Guadalajara, Mexico. It mainly specializes in 2D & CG animation, storyboarding, and designing for projects from major global brands such as Disney, Adult Swim, Netflix, and Nickelodeon.

History

Mighty animation was founded in 2012 in Guadalajara, Mexico by Luispa Salmon and Claudio Jimenez. In its early years, it mainly worked on advertisements and short films. Conejo en la Luna, which was co-produced with Canal 22, received an Ariel Award nomination. [1]

During the 2017 Pixelatl festival in Cuernavaca, the company greenlighted Viking Tales (Vikingos in Spanish), a series of animated shorts produced by the studio in co-production of Cartoon Network's Latin American branch. [2] [3] [4]

One of Mighty's inspiration comes from the tapestry weaving art. [1]

Let's Be Heroes, based on his Cartoon Network pilot Lakewood Plaza Turbo, which ran on the network from 2017 to 2019. He is also known for his webcomic RPG World and his work on Steven Universe, Adventure Time, and Bravest Warriors.

Jim Reardon is an American animator, storyboard artist, screenwriter, and film and television director. He is best known for his work on the animated TV series The Simpsons. He has directed over 30 episodes of the series and was credited as a supervising director for seasons 9 through 15. He has been described by Ralph Bakshi as "one of the best cartoon writers in the business".

David Jerome Wasson is an American animator, storyboard artist, director, producer, writer, and voice actor. Wasson created the Cartoon Network original series Time Squad, before going on to develop Star vs. the Forces of Evil as director, writer, and executive producer. He also served as director and writer of the series Mickey Mouse Shorts, supervising director of Making Fiends, and executive producer and director of the series The Buzz on Maggie. He is also the author and illustrator of the children's book The Big Ideas of Buster Bickles. Wasson is currently developer and executive producer of The Cuphead Show! for Netflix.

Last Days of Coney Island is a 2015 American adult animated short film written, produced, directed and animated by Ralph Bakshi. The story concerns a NYPD detective, the sex worker he alternately loves and arrests, and the seedy characters that haunt the streets of New York City's run-down amusement district. It is notable for being the last film that Bakshi directed and animated before he retired from animation.

Renegade Animation is an American animation studio located in Glendale, California, which currently specializes in Adobe Animate and Toon Boom animation. It was founded by Disney and Warner Bros. animator and director Darrell Van Citters and his business partner Ashley Postelwaite in July 1992 in Burbank, California. The studio previously produced Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi and The Mr. Men Show for Cartoon Network, and The Tom and Jerry Show, Unikitty!, and Tom and Jerry in New York for Warner Bros. Animation.

Villainous is a Mexican-American animated television, streaming television and web series produced by A.I. Animation Studios for Cartoon Network and Max. It was created by Alan Ituriel, a veteran of the animation industry in Mexico. It is based on a 2012 web series of the same name which Ituriel had previously created and was initially picked up by Cartoon Network Latin America as a miniseries of ten one-minute episodes for the Cartoon Network Anything app. The series is co-produced by Cartoon Network and A.I. Animation Studios. The series has since expanded onto a media franchise consistent of books and tie-ins.
