Mika Laurikainen (born 28 April 1963) is a Finnish football manager who works as an academy director in Paide Linnameeskond.

Career

On 16 December 2022, while serving as the club's sporting director, Laurikainen appointed himself the head coach of Turun Palloseura (TPS) for the 2023 season. [2] After the season, it was announced that Laurikainen will leave out from the club. [3]

On 30 August 2024, it was reported that Laurikainen would start as an academy director of Estonian Meistriliiga club Paide Linnameeskond. [4]

Kasper Woldemar Hämäläinen is a Finnish sporting director of Ykkösliiga club TPS, and a former professional international footballer who played as a attacking midfielder. Hämäläinen was born in Turku, Finland, where he started his senior career in TPS before moving to Djurgården. Hämäläinen made his international debut for Finland in November 2008 and has since had over 60 caps, including appearing in Finland´s UEFA Euro 2020 campaign in which Finland national team secured its first place in European Football Championship tournament´s group stage. He returned to his former club TPS in 2021, and ended his professional career with the club in the end of the 2023 season.

The 2016 Ykkönen was the 45th season of Ykkönen, the second highest football league in Finland. The winning team qualified directly for promotion to the 2017 Veikkausliiga, while the second-placed team had to play a play-off against the eleventh-placed team from Veikkausliiga to decide who wod play in that division. The bottom two teams were relegated to Kakkonen.

The 2018 Veikkausliiga was the 88th season of top-tier football in Finland. HJK were the defending champions.
