Robert Damien Bale Croft is a former Welsh cricketer who played international cricket for the England cricket team. He is an off-spin bowler who played for Glamorgan and captained the county from 2003 to 2006. Glamorgan County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Glamorgan. Founded in 1888,Glamorgan held minor status at first and was a prominent member of the early Minor Counties Championship before the First World War. In the C&G Trophy,they were knocked out at the second round stage by eventual champions Hampshire,while the Twenty20 campaign saw them finish bottom of their group with two wins from eight matches.

Welsh Fire are a franchise 100-ball cricket side based in the city of Cardiff. The team represents the historic counties of Glamorgan,Gloucestershire and Somerset in the newly founded competition called The Hundred,which took place for the first time during the 2021 English and Welsh cricket season. Both the men's and women's teams play their home games at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.
