Matthew Carle is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman. Carle played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the San Jose Sharks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Philadelphia Flyers and Nashville Predators. He was originally drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the second round, 47th overall, in 2003.
Alan William Hangsleben is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman from Warroad, Minnesota. He played for the New England Whalers of the World Hockey Association between 1974 and 1979, and then in the National Hockey League with the Hartford Whalers, Washington Capitals, and Los Angeles Kings between 1979 and 1982. Internationally Hangsleben played for the American national team at three World Championships and the 1976 Canada Cup.

Jeffrey John Finger is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman who played in the National Hockey League from 2006-2010 with the Colorado Avalanche and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Finger holds regional records for most goals (17), assists (40), points (57) and games played (199) for NHL players born, in the modern era, within the Copper Country of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Only Clarence "Taffy" Abel, who was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, who played in the NHL from 1926-1934, has played more games (333) than Finger, or any other player born in the Upper Peninsula. Finger is often regarded as the best all-around ice hockey player to be born and raised in the region, and he was inducted into Michigan's Upper Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.
Gary Robert Shuchuk is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former forward who is currently an assistant coach with Grizzlys Wolfsburg of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) between 1991 and 1996. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1990 to 2004, was spent in the minor leagues and later in Europe. After his playing career Shuchuk turned to coaching and spent several years at the American collegiate level.
Scott Alan Sandelin is an American former professional ice hockey player. He is currently the head coach of the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs men's ice hockey team. In 2011, he became the first coach in Bulldog history to lead them to a national title, in a 3–2 overtime game against the University of Michigan at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In the 2018 NCAAs, he led the Bulldogs to a second national title, over Notre Dame 2–1, also played at the Xcel Energy Center. The following season, in the 2019 NCAAs, he led the Bulldogs to a third national title. Sandelin grew up in Hibbing, Minnesota, where he went on to be drafted in the second round by the Montreal Canadiens and play collegiate hockey for the North Dakota Fighting Sioux.
Fred Knipscheer is an American retired professional ice hockey player who played 28 games in the National Hockey League with the Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues between 1993 and 1996. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1993 to 2000, was spent in the minor leagues.
The St. Cloud State Huskies women's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey team representing St. Cloud State University. The Huskies are a member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). They play at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
The St. Cloud State Huskies are the athletic teams for St. Cloud State University. The university is primarily a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), and currently sponsors 18 NCAA Division II teams.
