The Mikhail Kalinin-class passenger ship (project 101, in Germany known as Seefa 340 [4] ) is a class of Soviet ocean liners and cruise ships, operated by the Baltic State Shipping Company (BGMP), Far East Shipping Company (FESCO) and Black Sea Shipping Company (ChMMP or BLASCO). [5] The 19 [6] Soviet ships of this class were constructed in 1958–1964 by the East German company VEB Mathias-Thesen Werft, in Wismar. The class was named after the first ship in the class Mikhail Kalinin , which in her turn was named after the nominal head of state of Russia and later of the Soviet Union Mikhail Kalinin.

The Soviet Navy was the naval warfare uniform service branch of the Soviet Armed Forces. The Ivan Franko-class passenger ship was a class of Soviet ocean liners and cruise ships, operated by the Baltic State Shipping Company (BGMP) and Black Sea Shipping Company . The five Soviet ships Ivan Franko, Aleksandr Pushkin, Taras Shevchenko, Shota Rustaveli and Mikhail Lermontov were constructed in 1963–1972 by the East German company VEB Mathias-Thesen Werft, in Wismar. The class was named after its lead ship, which took its name from the Ukrainian poet Ivan Franko. The last remaining vessel, the Aleksandr Pushkin – last known as Marco Polo, was retired in 2020 and beached in Alang, India for scrapping on January 13, 2021.

She was built in 1959 by VEB Mathias-Thesen Werft, Wismar, East Germany. She was scrapped in 1992 in Alang, India.

MS <i>Sounds of Orient</i>

MS Sounds of Orient was an ocean liner owned since 1988 by Crosby Corp. Ltd in Panama. She was built in 1962 by VEB Mathias-Thesen Werft, Wismar, East Germany as Khabarovsk for the Soviet Union's Far East Shipping Company. The ship was used for service between Nakhodka and Yokohama, Japan. It was named after the largest city and the administrative center of Khabarovsk Krai, Soviet Union Khabarovsk.

MS <i>Siritara Ocean Queen</i>

MS Siritara Ocean Queen was a cruise ship owned since 2006 by Siritara Enterprise in Thailand. She was built in 1964 by VEB Mathias-Thesen Werft, Wismar, East Germany as Bashkiriya for the Soviet Union's Black Sea Shipping Company. It was named after an Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in the former Soviet Union Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. The ship capsized 10 October 2006 and was a total loss. She was later scrapped on site.

MS Excelsior Neptune was an ocean liner owned by the Soviet Union's Black Sea Shipping Company. She was built in 1958 by VEB Mathias-Thesen Werft, Wismar, East Germany, as one of the Mikhail Kalinin series of ships. It was named after Felix Dzerzhinsky, a Soviet statesman and founder of the Soviet secret police (Cheka).

<i>Leninsky Komsomol</i>-class cargo ship

The Leninsky Komsomol class (also transliterated as Leninskiy Komsomol or Leninskij Komsomol was a class of 25 ocean-going dry cargo ships; tweendeckers with turbine main engines, built between 1959 and 1968 in the Soviet Union under the designations Projects 567 and 567K. Twenty were built by the Kherson Shipyard, and five in either the Nikolayev Shipyard, or the Nosenko Shipyard in Nikolayev.
