Milan Ohnisko (16 July 1965 in Brno) is a Czech poet and editor. After quitting two secondary schools before graduating either of them he worked in many manual professions. He also had his own publishing house and a bookshop. Currently he works as a freelance editor.
Ohnisko's poetry is a mixture of naivist technique which uses word play with highly rational punchlines, and neo-decadent sense of tragedy and quixotism of an outsider fighting the mainstream. He often uses and combines naivism, irony, humor and absurdity.

A sonnet is a poetic form which originated in the Italian poetry composed at the Court of the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II in Palermo, Sicily. The 13th-century poet and notary Giacomo da Lentini is credited with the sonnet's invention for expressing courtly love. The Sicilian School of poets who surrounded him at the Emperor's Court are credited with its spread. The earliest sonnets, however, no longer survive in the original Sicilian language, but only after being translated into Tuscan dialect.

Oldřich Vyhlídal (1921-1989) was a Czech poet, translator, and editor who published several books of poetry. Water played an important role in his imagery, as exemplified in the titles of several of his poetry collections: Řeka pod okny, Hnízda na vodě, and Vodopád ("Waterfall"). He also translated old Korean poetry. In his poetry Oldřich Vyhlídal used fixed forms, like the French ballad, the pantun, and especially the sonnet. He frequently wrote in the Czech alexandrine.
