Miller Harris is a London-based luxury perfume brand founded by perfumer Lyn Harris in 2000. [1] In 2012 Harris sold a stake in the company, with The Daily Telegraph later noting that Miller Harris had come "a major player in the world of independent fragrance". [2]
Miller Harris has two London stores, in Seven Dials and Covent Garden.
As of 2019 [update] , Miller Harris have opened 8 shops in other countries, in Hong Kong and China. [3]
In 2010, the business received a boost in awareness to its niche clientele when Michelle Obama was gifted a set of candles by the then UK Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha Cameron, on their first trip to meet President Barack Obama in Washington. [4]
From 2010 through to 2020, Miller Harris have continued to launch fragrances with the Robertet, the French fragrance house adding bestselling lines such as Lumière Dorée and Etui Noir. [5] In 2018, the brand launched the now bestselling fragrance Scherzo. Based on a page torn out of the novel Tender is the Night, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and given to perfumer Mathieu Nardin. The resulting fragrance was in 2020, claimed by Grazia to be one of the 10 cult perfumes, taking the planet by storm.
In 2020, Miller Harris gave all of the hand wash and soap in its warehouse to Age UK in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. [6] [7]

American singer Britney Spears has developed and endorsed a number of products; these have included books, video releases, video games, dolls, clothing, and perfumes. In 2000, Spears released a limited edition of sunglasses titled Shades of Britney. In 2001, she signed a deal with shoe company Skechers, and a $7–8 million promotional deal with Pepsi, their biggest entertainment deal at the time. Aside from numerous commercials with the latter during that year, she also appeared in a 2004 Pepsi television commercial in the theme of "Gladiators" with singers Beyoncé, Pink, and Enrique Iglesias. Spears was also featured on the commercial of "Twister Rave" and the game included a Twister remix of "Circus". In March 2018, it was revealed that Spears would be the face of Kenzo, a contemporary French luxury clothing house.

She is particularly known for a refined style as well as innovation such as her novel use of fig in perfumery, popularizing the note beginning in the mid-1990s. Niche perfume is perfume made by companies dedicated primarily to creating perfume, as opposed to perfume from fashion houses or famous people. These companies are generally smaller than the major fragrance firms like Coty Inc., Puig, and Firmenich, but bigger than "indie perfume" lines that are generally owned and operated by the perfumer themselves. Especially since the 2010s, however, the distinction has blurred as more and more niche perfume brands have been purchased by a larger parent corporation.
Aedes de Venustas is a niche perfume store and fragrance line. Aedes has operated in Manhattan since 1995. The house perfume line launched in 2012, although there was an earlier collaboration with L'Artisan Parfumeur creating a home fragrance (2005) and perfume (2008) also named Aedes de Venustas.
Santal 33 is a 2011 sandalwood perfume by niche perfume line Le Labo. It was initially proposed as a personal fragrance by perfumer Frank Voelkl, but Le Labo owners Fabrice Penot and Eddie Roschi cut it from the perfume line for their 2006 launch and asked Voelkl to develop a candle and then a room spray instead, called Santal 26. By 2010 Penot and Roschi acceded to popular demand and asked Voelkl to develop a modified version as a personal perfume, Santal 33, which launched in 2011. Santal 33 quickly gained cult status, then grew into broad popularity, especially after Le Labo sold to Estée Lauder Companies and their fragrances went into much wider distribution. This development drew some disappointment from wearers who had prized its exclusivity.
