Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) is a non-governmental international relief and welfare organisation and a branch of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. It was founded on 17 October 1989 by Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, [1] and registered in the UK.

Syed Ahmad Saeed Kazmi was a Pakistani Islamic scholar and Sufi who belonged to the Barelvi movement of Sunni Islam. He migrated to Multan in 1935 from Amroha. He is known for his contribution to the Pakistan Movement, Urdu translation and Tafseer of Quran, and Dars-e-Hadith. His tomb sits next to Multan's 18th century Shahi Eid Gah Mosque.

Humanity First is an international charity that provides disaster relief and long term development assistance to vulnerable communities in 52 countries across 6 continents. The organisation is run by volunteers with diverse skillsets across the world and has access to thousands of extra volunteers worldwide. Volunteer staff in all areas often pay their own expenses to support the international projects.

The Global Peace and Unity is a recurring two-day event/festival and conference held at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in Royal Victoria Dock, London, England and organized by the Islam Channel. It is the largest Muslim, interfaith and multicultural event of its kind in Europe. There have been six conferences since its inception. The first was on 4 December 2005, with others in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2013. The 2006 event attracted over 55,000 visitors from five continents. The conference includes an Islamic exhibition, an evening nasheed concert, as well as a series of talks, workshops, seminars and lectures from international speakers over two days.

Syed Tahir Alauddin al-Gilani formally referred to as His Holiness, Qudwat-ul-Awliya Naqeeb-ul-Ashraaf Huzoor Pir Syed Tahir Alauddin al-Gilani al-Qadri al-Baghdadi, was an Iraqi Sufi Saint who lived in the twentieth century and was the head of the Qadiriyya Baghdadia Spiritual Tariqa. He was the custodian of the Shrine of Ghaus e Azam Abdul Qadir al-Gilani and has been accepted by many as a reformer of Sufism. Born in Baghdad on 18 June 1932, he traced his lineage by seventeen steps to Abdul-Qadir Gilani and 28 steps to the Islamic prophet Muhammad.

<i>Fatwa on Terrorism</i>

The Fatwa on Terrorism and Suicide Bombings is a 600-page, 512 page Islamic book by scholar Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri which demonstrates from the Quran and Sunnah that terrorism and suicide bombings are unjust and evil, and thus un-Islamic. The book was published in London. The English edition was published in the UK by Minhaj-ul-Quran Publications. Qadri released the book on 2 March 2010.

Canadian Medical Assistance Teams (CMAT) is a Canadian grassroots, non profit disaster relief organization based in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Through its medical relief and development projects, CMAT seeks to improve the health and welfare of families both in Canada and in developing countries around the world.

On 24 September 2011, Minhaj-ul-Quran organised a major "Peace for Humanity Conference" at Wembley Arena in London at which, under the auspices of Pakistani Islamic scholar Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, its 12,000 attendees announced a global declaration denouncing racism, interfaith intolerance, extremism and terrorism.

Masood ul-Mulk TI is a Pakistani expert on humanitarian aid and a development practitioner. He is the CEO of SRSP the largest NGO working to alleviate poverty in North-West Pakistan.

The Model Town operation, more commonly known as the Model Town tragedy or the Lahore massacre, or simply Lahore incident, was a violent clash that ensued between the Punjab Police and Pakistan Awami Tehreek activists on 17 June 2014 resulting in several protesters being killed by the police gunfire. Five police officers remain under arrest. The standoff lasted for almost 11 hours when the police's anti-encroachment squad launched an operation to remove the barriers from the road leading to the offices of Minhaj-ul-Quran and the residence of PAT founder Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in Model Town, Lahore, even though police officials were given a court order by PAT leaders, stating "due to terrorism issue place security barriers in front of Minhaj-ul-Quran and the residence of PAT founder Dr.Qadri."

The Inqilab March was a public protest by the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), against the Pakistani government of Nawaz Sharif. It took place from August to September 2014.

Rana Iqbal Ahmad Khan is a Pakistani lawyer and former politician who previously served as a provincial cabinet minister in the Punjab government. A veteran member of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), he began his legal career in the mid-1960s and also entered politics at around the same time. He is a practicing advocate in the Supreme Court and a member of the District Bar Association of Gujranwala. More recently, he has been associated with Tahir-ul-Qadri and his Pakistan Awami Tehreek movement.

Islamic Curriculum on Peace and Counter Terrorism is a curriculum prepared by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on peace and counter-terrorism. The curriculum was launched on 23 June 2015 in the presence of many official guests, including Brigadier Paul Harkness, Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Khalid Mahmood MP, along with eminent Muslim scholars from around the United Kingdom.

D-Chowk, and sometimes referred to as Democracy Chowk, recently renamed by public as Gaza Chowk, is a large town square located on the junction of Jinnah Avenue and Constitution Avenue in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is located in the government district, close to several important government buildings: the Presidency, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Parliament, and the Supreme Court.

From 15 June to October 2022, floods in Pakistan killed 1,739 people, and caused ₨ 3.2 trillion of damage and ₨ 3.3 trillion of economic losses. The immediate causes of the floods were heavier than usual monsoon rains and melting glaciers that followed a severe heat wave, both of which are linked to climate change.
